Visit banana plantations and pre-Saharan dunes on this full-day mini-safari excursion into Agadir’s Berber hinterland, passing by the Massa Nature Reserve and enjoying a traditional lunch in Assaka.

Details:Your day-long adventure to Assaka begins in the morning as you leave your hotel and set out for Ait Melloul, stopping for coffee in Massa. Continue on and depart the main road to pay a visit to the banana plantations, taking a stroll through the banana palms and across the tiny bridge there. Later, head out and across the pre-Saharan dunes of Resmoka, where you may meet scorpion and snake charmers waiting to show you the famous yellow scorpion dance. Take a walk across some of the smaller dunes, and feel free to buy some Saharan sand to take home with you.Travel to the reservoir of Youssef Bin Tachfine for a panoramic view before making your way to Assaka. Enjoy a lunch of salads, meat, and vegetables tagine, with a dessert of local fruit accompanied by tea and Moroccan pastries. After lunch, make your way to the ancient silver capital of Tiznit to see the walled ramparts, go for a walk in the old medina, and browse the handmade Berber silver jewelry. Hold on for a bumpy ride to the Massa Valley, traveling alongside the 32,500 acres of Souss Massa National Park. Be sure to bring your binoculars for some wildlife spotting, as wild boar, bald ibis, and pink flamingoes call this area home. Pop in to see the fishermen’s caves and perhaps find some shells at the isolated beach of Sidi R ‘Bat, then start out on the return trip to Agadir.Inclusions :

Participant restrictions: This tour is not recommended for those who are pregnant or for those with a history of back problems.

Note: Participation in this tour is complimentary for children younger than age 2. It is recommended that you wear closed-toe shoes on this tour, as the sand can get quite hot. Tour gratuity is not included and is at your discretion.
