Speck: Newburgh Screening
Speck is a 4-minute film co-produced by Fon Borrello and myself. Its original release date was December 2015 for Goshen Art Walk. In March, Stacie invited us to screen the film at her storefront.
The movie-star couch really set the tone for the afternoon. The conversation about the film turned into a dissection, something I really miss from documentary school. I took note of favorite keywords:
A meditation
Stimulating
Surreal
Ethereal
Transcending from physical to spiritual
Organic set of observations
Visceral images
The organic nature of body and spirit
Celebrating our pieces
Physical vs. spiritual experience
Winter blues
Speck is our first collaborative short film which we once described as: holding a magnifying glass up to frame a pulsing life. Now, I can say: its a passage from zooming in to zooming in more, into the paradox of being unrecognizable and being familiar.
We ended the day with a tummy full of non-GMO popcorn & a photoseries that made the perfect stop motion. Check em out below.

âThe chance encounter yielded a remarkable photograph. It also raised questions about âtear-feeding,â a phenomenon otherwise known as lachryphagy, which has been well documented but remains poorly understood.â - national geographicÂ
