Evie is open for interactions!

Hello, this is an ask/rp blog for Evie, a character from AFK Journey.

I’m not her employer, but I am her blog author, and I am an adult. Here are a few rules that ought to be followed and information to take note:

— Be respectful, please. As of this post and the creation of Evie’s blog, we don’t know where her stance truly is, despite her implied involvement with the events that occurred in Echoes of Dissent. Unless, of course, it’s in character, and that’s agreed upon prior.

— Since Evie has very little time on screen so far, interactions with her might be limited, and as such her blog may not be very active. However, as time passes and should the story focus more on her, this might change.

— Update: Evie now has more significance in Tower of Memory. Author has finished the main story playthrough, so she will update accordingly to the pace of the events here. As such, for the first couple of weeks, enquiries to her regarding what happened in the season will be tagged with “tower of memory spoilers”.

— Unless stated in private messages or in profile, any Merlin she interacts with will be referred to as they/them by default.

Envoy Evie and Dawne Miltoni were solving the case of the Headmaster's death. Dawne was running late. While waiting, A letter was delivered to Evie. It was from a noble based on the wax seal and the gentle perfume. The wax seal was broken and the letter read as followed:

House Viltonia, one of the more famous jewelers in Savannah. However, Dawne Viltonia's disappearance now made more sense. Had the guards and scouts left stumped when it happened years ago. Dawne looked like a simple girl, not poor, but common looking. Her hair was lighter and she cussed, fought in sword fighting, and messy when eating. Plus she talked differently than most kids. Brash, loud, laughing when mud touched her shoes, everything a noble is not supposed to. She did not look like how she used to... to the untrained eye. But there were subtle details. Hair was too clean and styled, makeup, and she knew about things only nobility would be trained to know.

Right as Evie was finished, Dawne came rushing over. "Evie! Yo! Sorry I am late! I couldn't find my sword. I was going crazy looking for it. Oh! I went to get us coffee and the line was sooo long. But, time waits for no one, and we should get started, though knowing you? You already have. Here yo-" she put the coffee down on the table, seeing Evie read possibly intel. Now curious, she tilted her head, "Hey, whatcha got there? New intel? C'mon girl, spill. I am quite curious, anything the scouts have found is worth knowing." Dawne asked, wondering what info Evie got to help crack this case.

Evie looks at Dawne who’s being all oblivious, tucking the letter away neatly while accepting her coffee.

She decides not to mention who may happen to have tips yet. Not until when they themselves find more clues to gather.

“Hmm… Yes, but I think it may also be best if we maintain our unassuming appearances whilst we investigate.”

“Coffee is a good start.”

Dawne Viltonia… Dawne Miltoni… The Envoy can’t help but mentally agree.

*A single red rose appears out of thin air through a faint green magic glow that feels slightly off cold. The rose keeps hovering in the air and a paper appears with the following message:*

Hey,

it's been a very special day, that made me realize how much I love (to endure) your presence. Wish I could watch you spend eternity with me right now. Sooner or later, we shall be united! I'll always be there to catch you. Whether you currently want to hold me close or break my neck - I will wait for you. Don't keep me waiting! ;-)

A Lightbearer Soldier knocks on the door of the Public Order Office on Holt Street. He delivers a sealed envelope to Envoy Evie, labeled with the name and title of @serenaofesperia:

Interrogation Report: Serena Vaile

… After extensive questioning, a motive for harming the headmaster remains unidentified.

No clear evidence to suggest that the student engaged in any unlawful activities during the selection exam.

The transcript of the interrogation is provided below:

… During the selection exam, Serena was tasked with creating and maintaining an illusion of a missing portrait and providing emotional support to Princess Peggy. This has been corroborated by Her Highness.

Other candidates claimed Serena did not appear surprised when candidate Niall lost his magic and detailed that the two had previously engaged in a romantic relationship, but recently had a large falling out. Serena stated that she was distracted by the attack of the Lyceum guards and then the headmaster’s collapse, so did not have time to react to her classmate’s condition. She confirmed that she had been romantically involved with Niall, but that the two ended the relationship mutually and had no interpersonal complications. This was confirmed by Professor Hernando, who stated both students are alchemy lab partners and have been civil towards each other but not hostile.

Serena stated that she visited the headmaster a week prior to the selection exam to discuss an exemption from the Advanced Transfiguration Requirement for graduation. Lyceum administration provided written records of the granted exemption, signed and dated by the headmaster within the given timeline, and the signature has been examined and authenticated.

During that meeting, the headmaster asked Serena if she had heard anything about the recent magic loss incidents. Serena shared that she was aware of the illness but did not have exact details of any current incidents. The headmaster asked her to inform him of anything suspicious, to which she agreed.
