… After extensive questioning, a motive for harming the headmaster remains unidentified.

No clear evidence to suggest that the student engaged in any unlawful activities during the selection exam.

… During the selection exam, Serena was tasked with creating and maintaining an illusion of a missing portrait and providing emotional support to Princess Peggy. This has been corroborated by Her Highness.

Other candidates claimed Serena did not appear surprised when candidate Niall lost his magic and detailed that the two had previously engaged in a romantic relationship, but recently had a large falling out. Serena stated that she was distracted by the attack of the Lyceum guards and then the headmaster’s collapse, so did not have time to react to her classmate’s condition. She confirmed that she had been romantically involved with Niall, but that the two ended the relationship mutually and had no interpersonal complications. This was confirmed by Professor Hernando, who stated both students are alchemy lab partners and have been civil towards each other but not hostile.

Serena stated that she visited the headmaster a week prior to the selection exam to discuss an exemption from the Advanced Transfiguration Requirement for graduation. Lyceum administration provided written records of the granted exemption, signed and dated by the headmaster within the given timeline, and the signature has been examined and authenticated.

During that meeting, the headmaster asked Serena if she had heard anything about the recent magic loss incidents. Serena shared that she was aware of the illness but did not have exact details of any current incidents. The headmaster asked her to inform him of anything suspicious, to which she agreed.

Huuuu I should be putting this on my rant blog, but its also something that I'm passionate about.... so I feel its more fitting to put it here than over on my depressing, anxiety-filled rant blog.

Look. I'm going to give Usher the benefit of the doubt and say it was nice that he paid homage to Michael during his halftime show. There's... things I've heard that don't sit right with me regarding his upcoming tour name.... but that's not the topic of this post.

What this is about would be the rewriting of history. The attempt to act as though one man is better than the other, the one man has only just now achieved the impossible of reaching the most views during the Halftime Show when that simply is not the truth; that is a both-faced lie through and through.

Usually when you see people adding context and facts on Twitter, usually its just one link. Maybe two if you're lucky.

In this case, we have FIVE different sources to prove this is a lie. Dating even to the ORIGINAL 1993 New York Times article that stated what Michael's Halftime ratings were. The original.

Michael's 133.4 million viewers compared to Usher's 129.3 million and yet Usher was the one to suddenly hold the highest-rated and highest-viewed halftime performance???

Does Sin truly come from an egg ? How do we know he didn't birth from Dizzy's eye ? I'm confused because I heard two versions (egg and eye in Strive story).

GG2 Overture is technically more canonical than anything you might have read in Strive's Library, so yes, Sin was born from an Egg.

As for the actual source of the info, it's the Guilty Gear 2 Material Collection book.

I still debate what mistakes they've made with Strive's lore, mostly because a lot of the current info doesn't mesh with older info to begin with (to say nothing of Retcons we've previously discussed).

Archaeotherium Daeodon Combo Technoblade

HEEHEEHOOHOO I made a THING

there are these prehistoric pig and hippo adjacent creatures called entelodonts, and there are a lot of their fossils in Wyoming and places in the plains regions of the US with evidence found from Canada to Texas. 

These massive pigs ate everything from plants to meat and certain kinds could open their jaws up to 109 degrees! There’s some great sources out on the interwebs, and some great videos on PBS Eons free to watch!

I propose a more ancient Technoblade, a 35-28 million year old Technoblade.

These pigs would eat most anything, and fossil record has ample evidence of infighting between these massive beasts, the biggest of which could stand at over two meters tall!

Technoblade, a warlike, piglike creature seems to fit right in.

Envoy Evie and Dawne Miltoni were solving the case of the Headmaster's death. Dawne was running late. While waiting, A letter was delivered to Evie. It was from a noble based on the wax seal and the gentle perfume. The wax seal was broken and the letter read as followed:

House Viltonia, one of the more famous jewelers in Savannah. However, Dawne Viltonia's disappearance now made more sense. Had the guards and scouts left stumped when it happened years ago. Dawne looked like a simple girl, not poor, but common looking. Her hair was lighter and she cussed, fought in sword fighting, and messy when eating. Plus she talked differently than most kids. Brash, loud, laughing when mud touched her shoes, everything a noble is not supposed to. She did not look like how she used to... to the untrained eye. But there were subtle details. Hair was too clean and styled, makeup, and she knew about things only nobility would be trained to know.

Right as Evie was finished, Dawne came rushing over. "Evie! Yo! Sorry I am late! I couldn't find my sword. I was going crazy looking for it. Oh! I went to get us coffee and the line was sooo long. But, time waits for no one, and we should get started, though knowing you? You already have. Here yo-" she put the coffee down on the table, seeing Evie read possibly intel. Now curious, she tilted her head, "Hey, whatcha got there? New intel? C'mon girl, spill. I am quite curious, anything the scouts have found is worth knowing." Dawne asked, wondering what info Evie got to help crack this case.

Evie looks at Dawne who’s being all oblivious, tucking the letter away neatly while accepting her coffee.

She decides not to mention who may happen to have tips yet. Not until when they themselves find more clues to gather.

“Hmm… Yes, but I think it may also be best if we maintain our unassuming appearances whilst we investigate.”

“Coffee is a good start.”

Wait is all the informational posts on this blog about the Guilty Gear characters and lore actually canon? May I ask what are the sources for all this info, its very interesting to me.

I have a Cited Sources tag for anyone curious (mostly Guilty Gear Bible, GG 10th Memorial Guide, and Xrd/Strive's Library Content), but for older stuff, much of it came a very old Japanese Guilty Gear X webpage that went defunct.

For everything else, check the Archive Links. I also have a Links tag for precisely additional content you might want access to.

As for the Canon aspect of it, that varies from game to game, and some have their own integrated self-contained Lore (Strive is one, the Xrd Series is another, but also the Novels and Drama CDs...).

Anything that steps off the main path of the story is pretty much classified as "Gaiden", even some of the info from Strive, since it doesn't mesh well with older game content.

If you just want the jist of the story, just follow Sol Badguy's story, but for everything else take a few grains of salt and toss 'em over your shoulder for luck.

Where did you find out that Megumi's last name is Saito? Did the book exist and you witness the content yourself? Megumi's last name is Saito. Axl Low learned "Saitouryuuuko Bujutsu: Rensen" from her family. I can't find any evidence of the above.

Okay, since you're doubtful, I'll list my sources as well as some additional information.

In the Guilty Gear Bible, Megumi (めぐみ) is 'speculated to be' of Japanese Descent (GG Bible says this), and that based on her description from Axl, she had long hair based on his personal taste.

Now here's where things get "a little dicey".

Remember, this is VERY OLD INFORMATION… dating as far back as Guilty Gear X in the 2000s.

ARC System Works, early on, created an information webpage called GUILTYGEARX.COM. (It was more like a blog about Guilty Gear, just like mine… using older methods of posting info.)

Back then, people just took that info as word-of-God without really questioning the source.

There IS another KEY SOURCE to this information… the Guilty Gear X Drafting Artworks book, firstly, which mentions Saitouryuuko Bujutsu: Rensen (斉藤流古武術・錬閃) in the book itself!

This info was also posted in the Japanese Wikipedia entry on Axl Low (which cites GG Bible, 10th Memorial Guide, and GGX Drafting Artworks as its sources).

I mentioned this a long time ago, but a certain "person" I knew who worked as a liaison for both ARC System Works and Aksys Games confessed to me that ARC System Works had "lost" a lot of old webpage information from their old GGX website.

This information was considered "relatively canon" within GGX and GGXX at the time, since it included information from the Novels and Drama CDs as well.

What we've come to learn in recent years is that "relatively canon" doesn't always apply (especially in games like GGXrd and GGStrive). Sometimes content gets completely left out, retconned, or cut entirely.

As you may be aware, a character like Erica Bartholomew made an appearance in Guilty Gear Strive, which effectively made the GGXX Novel Butterfly and Her Gale "canonized" within Strive's history and continuity.

So yes, some content was made canon… but does that mean everything was made canon?

In older games, Megumi (in Xrd) had long brown hair, but this was retconned in Strive to be "long black hair" (based on an off-hand photo Axl had of her).

Maybe the idea that Megumi had brown hair in Xrd was just an oversight (she also made an appearance in GGXX in one of Axl's endings as well and her appearance matches Strive's).

Back on topic... this information is REALLY OLD... and whether it applies or not depends on if the story actually wanted to approach the topic.

There was also mention that Testament had a "dislike" for Axl Low's fighting style... now that info is just as "iffy" as this information since it is based on OLD GGX.COM information.

Old Guilty Gear information from the GG Bible makes mention of "Ancient Martial Arts" but does not go in-depth towards the topic, only suggesting that Japanese Martial Arts had a deep spiritual connection with things like psychic abilities (like being able to use Flames before Magic was invented). In actuality, this is likely a NOD to old SNK games like the King of Fighters (which Guilty Gear, on occasion references).

How much of that is significant versus what is canon... or even important to Guilty Gear's storyline isn't made clear (though it was mentioned that Chipp Zanuff and Nagoriyuki come from the same Martial Arts root style... connecting them with Tsuyoshi.)

Anyway, it's up to you if you want to accept VERY OLD INFO as canon or not!
