Consider: The day Robert Wakes up from the coma Chase is called to check on him. He knows Robert will need some recovery time before seeing Emily, so decides to go alone at first. At least to get a good look at the state of Robert first. Problem: Anyone he trusts, and the people Robert has listed, are all too busy or traveling for something at the time. In his desperation, there is ONE person he is forced to admit is both very good with children and whom Emily Loves: Flambae.

Chase having to swallow his pride and his opinions and ask Flambae to Babysit. Flambae *absolutely* smug as everything about it, mentioning how he even has a guest room that has stuff for kids. He is. Slightly less smug when he gets a bag full of prescriptions and a binder's worth of medical history. But He can handle this! Yeah. Absolutely.

It's a couple weeks before Robert is recovered enough to leave the hospital. and Emily is staying with Flambae that whole time. Though Chase does take her to visit her dad once he's starting to mend properly. Flambae offered to take her, but with who Robert is, Chase refused to let him nearby Robert. Even if he did trust him with the kid.

Chase also. Doesn't want Robert to freak out. Flambae has a few nights of grumbling to Prism about how he's so close to getting to meet Sleeping Beauty and he's still not allowed! Determined to figure out a way to wiggle into a visit sooner rather than later. "I'll I have to do is prove to that Geezer I'm a proper Hero! maybe be easier if our Dispatcher's didn't suck"
