Prison Break.
Really, Melanie was lucky. She'd been caught by SHIELD, held for a while, then... SHIELD fell, and Mels escaped. And with SHIELD basically destroyed, it was easy for her to disappear for a while. Then surface again as a university student.
But really, she was just glad HYDRA inadvertently got her out.
All this that is more than a wish is a memory All this that is ceases to be All is revealed The obvious door opens nothing Nothing, nothing, nothing left Nothing left to chance When you try to see, we'll watch you When you try to leave, we'll keep you When you should be dreaming, we'll wake you But don't scream, we'll make you swallow your words Gave them our reactions, our explosions, all that was ours For graphs of passion and charts of stars Gave them our reactions, our explosions all that we are For graphs of passion and charts of stars How ending starts Ending starts with answers.

"What happens now?" She looked up at Erik, honestly feeling terrible for everything she’d done today. For getting angry, for shooting the SHIELD agent, for endangering her father and grandparents.
"What happens now depends on the information we receive," he replied, though he was doubtful that he would get much. Until Mia was dead, she was keeping the systems away from working his way, and it was annoying. She did inform him when agents were in danger, but as for keeping his affairs in order, he’d had to revert back to earlier methods. They worked just as well, but they took more time, and more effort. It was tiresome.
"But you will remain here under watch until a decision is made. We cannot have you endangering the Organization or her agents further."
Melanie nodded. She could live with that. Being a prisoner in a nice house, not bad. At least she'd be alive. And maybe she'd stay that way. She carefully stood up, brushing wrinkles out of her jeans. "I understand, Gabbie."

Melanie felt the blood flee her face. “They’re doing what?!” How was she so stupid? “I told only a few people, and I don’t….. I fucked up, didn’t I?”
She slid down the wall she’d been leaning against, dropping her head into her hands. “I’m such an idiot. A selfish, entitled brat who threw a tantrum.”
"Yes, you are."
Erik replied without a moment of hesitation. “You are like Raphael in that regard, but he was able to contain himself when it mattered. Perhaps enlisting you in the military would have helped your discipline as it did his, but it’s a bit late for that, now.”

She sighed, “Right. Honestly? I have no good reason. Not a real one, at least. But there was provocation. They have my father. And I’m annoyed. No one’s telling me anything. This is the first I’ve heard from you in ages.” She shrugged, leaning against the wall. “If you have to kill me, go ahead.”
”You could have EASILY asked, Shasiel. You have proven unworthy of your level of trust. You are just as bad as a level one—worse, in fact, because you kill without justification. Being angry does not justify killing. There must be sufficient cause.
"Besides, you may have put him in greater danger. You have been hanging around SHIELD agents, telling them you were his daughter, and now they likely have you on surveillance footage. —Not to mention Sandalphon went in to retrieve him without my leave… though that is no concern of mine unless they endanger the Organization.”

Melanie had managed to make it to the park, and inside the house right as her time was up, but she certainly wasn’t expecting to hear Gabbie calling for her. She walked out of the kitchen to the hallway, “Gabbie! So nice to see you! I didn’t know you were coming!”
Gods, she hoped he wasn’t going to kill her.
"It is Gabriel, and you should be glad that I am not here to shoot you myself—not yet. You fired on SHIELD. There was no contract. There was no provocation, how do you justify yourself?" the man in the suit asked sternly, taking off his dark shades and tucking them into his pocket so that she could see his eyes—see just how serious this was.

Erik hopped out of his black sedan—a quite innocuous car for a man like him—but he was a man with business. He walked up along the grove of trees towards the large house. He could see his agents dotted along the perimeter only because he had put them there. He felt safe here, but that was not what this was about.
"Shashiel!" he called as he came in the front door with a little more force than necessary.

Middle-aged, do the low rise on the waist London half-life Middle-aged, you're the low riser getting over myself today And if you're compromised, Drive your car through the rain And if you've been beaten, Drive your car through the rain Until you wash off the buzz Don't pull over 'till you're sure one that wanted the floor one that won't know the street, one that wanted to land on the heart with his feet up oh watch out, you're only better off with half your life otherwise wasted House of cards, you fall hard
The fall of something beautiful.

Melanie put her phone in her pocket, before checking the time, and hastening to Tuxedo Park. She was terrified that they knew about her..... tantrum. Hell of course they did.

[Text] ten minutes. That acceptable?
Joce: ilu2. And yes, she totally fucked up.
Louise: it's all her fault. XD
[Text:{UNSPECIFIED SOURCE}] Come to the safe house or be declared hostile.
[Text] which safe house?
Mel's temper tantrum and murder is just helping Ilo get out. I think. Possibly.
Or maybe she accidentally made it harder.
Oh well.
And she has no idea what's happening inside SHIELD.
Melanie grimaced, wiping the rifle and disassembling it, and stowing it in her backpack before walking down the stairs and out the back of the building and far away from SHIELD. She didn't even know who she'd just shot, except for the fact that she was an older SHIELD agent. She made her way to her apartment, watching for anything suspicious, and glad when she saw nothing. She stowed the backpack in her closet, before heading to her bedroom to change so she could head out again.
asks really really really nicely if you can "falcon"ize this icon. you, my dear, are amazing.
