Alright, fandom, we gotta talk. There are a lot more of you on this website that loves Designated Survivor in the US but who don’t actively talk about it and we need all of you. Every single one of you, because I have an ambitious ask.
This week, the 16th May, is our season finale. Notice I am stressing season because eOne, the production company (they own The Mark Gordon Company fully), is in active discussions to find us a new home. Most likely on Netflix but they are probably open to everyone and anyone. The international sales are most definitely the golden goose for DS, as it is much more popular on international markets than it is in the American market.
So, that is this ambitious ask, I hear you all proclaiming. Well, here goes.
Let’s try and get the ratings to a 1.0
We haven’t been at a 1.0 since October, even though our +7 ratings show that people haven’t abandoned the show, they just don’t watch it live because that’s not how most people consume their entertainment nowadays. The +7s are still important too, so if you can’t watch tomorrow don’t worry… just watch it on your DVR. Watch it more than once. Stream it. If you’re not in the US? Watch it on Netflix. That counts too.
Let’s help eOne have the best bargaining position that they can possibly have to save our show and show the world that we aren’t ready for the Kirkman Administration to end.
