Would Catherine "Cissy" Davis (Family Affair) have a Nellie O'Malley doll?
Yes!
Maybe?
Nah
Nellie O'Malley grew up impoverished, the daughter of Irish immigrants in 1900s New York. She is resourceful and skilled with mechanics due to her life working in factories and as a household servant. When her parents die, and she and her sisters are abandoned into an orphanage by their cruel uncle. To her surprise, Samantha finds and rescues them, adopting them into her family. With a new sister, and new privileges she’s never had before, Nellie tries to adjust to her new life.
Nellie was first released in 2004 to tie-in with the release of the television film, Samantha: An American Girl Holiday.
Propaganda: me when I'm a traumatized red haired orphan who has sworn to look after my two younger siblings
No one in my family knows anything about gardening, but the last owners of the house left behind a nice perennial garden that we don't have to do much for...so here's Cecile enjoying the first blooms of the year.
American Girl Cards From 2004
Am I in the minority that is hoping GOTY 2027 isn’t a descendant of Molly?
I have a feeling it’s practically confirmed already based on the emphasis on the camp, which is referenced to be the same her mom went to. And of course the “Saves The Day” title which is something Molly, as well as earlier Historical have. But I’m really hoping Mattel isn’t going to keep making GOTY descendants of the Historical girls because it’s kinda lazy imo. I know Raquel was well-received but her connection to Samantha has always struck me as more about nostalgia than honoring the character. Especially when Nellie, her best friend and sister is not even mentioned.
sometimes you just want to draw an american girl idk!!
im ace so morally im opposed to ag characters having descendants
Hey Val, don’t be rude

Battle of the Bitty Babies: Fancy and Formal (Round 3)
Which outfit is the best?
My Big Day
Strawberry Birthday
honestly i don't really mind most beforever/post-beforever outfits, my biggest complaints about most of them are that i personally don't like the style as much because they lack certain elements that american girl itself endeared me to (i.e. giant collars and poofy sleeves on samantha, drop waist dresses on rebecca), or, in the case of kit's green meet outfit and photographer outfit, there's not much separating the cut/pattern/style from your garden-variety childrens semi-formal clothes you could find on the rack at old navy or the children's place in like 2011. other than that i approve of the vast majority of them. addy in particular looks lovely in every outfit i've ever seen on her
also this only applies to dolls that existed pre-beforever. i think the biggest complaint i have about any doll/outfit for a character that came out after the rebrand is that isabel hoffman has platform shoes with her meet outfit and that courtney's pieces are all sold separately from each other (which is just annoying)
wait i forgot about julie's bf meet outfit. that one is like
Samantha and Nellie are here to wreak havoc (and Uncle Gard is here to rein them in)
constantly getting mad at myself for not being smart enough to buy cecile and marie-grace when they were out despite the fact that i had no idea they would retire in 3 years and i was also in elementary school and had no money of my own to spend
