Good god he’s like an angel from above
do you guys think dan and phil ever forget which one they are
im in tears
then/now
I love the version of Rocky that’s just a little asshole, like “amaze amaze amaze” is nice and all but personally I’m a big fan of “you stupid. you being stupid right now.” and “I didn’t think of that” “I did.” and “where my bedroom?”
Like he barreled headfirst into Ryland’s life and said you are the dumbest weakest most pathetic creature I have ever met and I am your problem now
Had to share here too 🙂↕️🎨🎭
@danielhowell @amazingphil this was fun to draw for the Pokémon of it all!
Look even if no one else does I think I'm funny
I know people have feelings about Americans that are trying to reconnect with their Irish history and romanticizing everything and that’s fine— I don’t mind the feelings around that discourse.
But seriously, what IS the magic I’m overcome with when I experience my culture? Like hearing Irish music or magic is a visceral full body experience. Hearing the language or keening activates something in my throat. Even if I didn’t want to romanticize it, something IS the fuck UP here, in my being.
Finally was able to watch Sinners (2025) and I gotta say...a lot of you are missing the point that Remmick fully bought into white supremacy and perpetuated it.
Like I kept seeing all these takes from people for months about how tragic Remmick is, and while he is tragic a lot of people seem to be missing the idea that vampirism in this movie symbolizes that kind of racism you hear a lot of white folks use to make themselves seem enlightened when they aren't: "We are all one race, the human race," and "I don't see color."
Not only do you hear characters say this kind of thing throughout the movie (Fellowship and Love) but Remmick's last words were emblematic of this: he said the Lords Prayer with Sammie. And while he loathed the colonizers who did this to his people, he said the words still give him comfort.
Hanging around a lot of American Irish and American Scottish folks you will hear them talk shit all day about the English and critique how American culture is too homogenized and meaningless. And yet, they don't ever confront it or try to dismantle those systems of oppression...bc they benefit from it. And even if they don't ever admit it they understand they have to play the game otherwise they risk falling back to where they're ancestors were just over a century ago: excluded and oppressed. They may hate what cultural homegenation and colonization has done, but they also like some of the comforts it affords them.
So, yeah...Remmick is tragic, but not necessarily bc he longs for a world before colonization...but bc he is the living embodiment of many modern white Americans today. The same white people who were not described as such a century ago. Before they were white they were Italian, Irish, Bulgarian, Slavic, Caucasian, Estonian, and so on and so forth. But many of these groups shed their unique cultural aspects (language, clothing, dance, music, food) in exchange to being part of a group that would give them power. All they had to do was give up everything that made them unique and gave them meaning and a real sense of place in the world.
Vampirism in this movie is an allegory for what cultural homogenization and colonization does. When people come back after being turned they have lost part of their humanity. They are no longer individuals with unique perspectives, wants, and desires, they are behilden to something different. Part of them is in there, but it is held down for the sake of a kind of power that is free of pain, consequence, or worries. All you have to do to maintain it is feast on the flesh of those less powerful than you.
If that isn't white supremacy, I don't know what is. It is my opinion that Remmick is a lot of things: a sad boi who just wants to see his people again, a victim of colonization, but he is also no better than the colonizers. He promises power and comfort and all you have to do is give up everything you are.
the only boy I ever loved was [dan howell] in drag
on a recent episode of ask hank anything they talked about the possibility of going to london to film some episodes and God. please. put dan and phil on that show i need to know what beautiful questions their awful minds will come up with. especially phil.
No but it’s insane level of peace you need to make with the fact that people are excited about your private life and are writing smut fanfiction about you. And feed each other honey and joke in such a direct way. The most gaf person Dan Howell really really doesn’t give a fuck anymore
it makes me so emotional and i'm so proud of him for how much he's been able to make peace with and even celebrate!!! like he and phil KNOW that we eat up everything they say including jokes and they know we write smut about them and they’ve even said they think it's great that there are so many creative people in the fandom specifically in that sense and dan is at a point where he can know and appreciate all of that (while keeping a fair boundary of i don't want to see that which i think we all agree with) and still make comments and jokes about him and phil having sex now.
i think the reason it especially hits hard with me about dan is because like they talked about in the bed video, dan was always the one that was SO (understandably) sensitive to so much of what people were saying and writing and for a while he really was so vocal about trying to push back against it and now he's just like. this is what it is, it comes from a place of love and fun, and it's safe and okay for me to just be myself and say what i want now.
it's incredible to see.
Blessed with a golf video on this Thursday night 😌⛳️

He’s trying to get a good grade in first human contact. Something that is normal to want and possible to achieve
the idea of being inebriated in space horrifies me but yk what, have fun man. Also my own peeersonal interpretation of Rocky celebratory clothes, ik the way I draw him isnt like, super accurate to whatever his non-movie design is, but thats how i saw him in my brain pre-trailer so. My brain just kinda skipped the "he has clothes" part.
some project hail mary doodles!! ⭐️🪨🚀🩵🛸
