Having seen some births now i can say that dog birth is amazing cos they just slip n slide out one after the other like a little conveyor belt. And theyre so little and unformed. And then UNGULATE BIRTHS ... are amazing for the opposite reason which is that 10mins after being born they are filing their taxes. Unless they are goats, in which case they are committing tax fraud instead
Goats are what is called a precocial species, which means that shortly after birth they are able to do many thimgs on their own, such as standing, walking, eating, and embezzlement
When I worked at a farm we had a problem where one of the baby goats kept jumping over the three foot tall stall wall and escaping so we put him in a draft horse stall (stall was up to my chin and I’m 6 foot) and the fucker managed to jump over that too, goats are criminals from birth

This can also apply to most things a kid should be doing that they don’t want to do, maybe they don’t want to go to school because they’re being bullied or because they’re struggling to understand a subject (fixable), maybe they don’t want to take a medication because it’s causing unpleasant side effects, maybe they don’t want to interact with Trusted Adult because said adult was acting inappropriately
Children just like adults usually have reasons for behaving the way they do and do understand that not following instructions will result in punishment so if you just punish them for not behaving the way you want without asking why they’re refusing to listen they will learn that their discomfort doesn’t matter and stop telling you when things hurt

I love when my dog randomly remembers that he needs water to live and drinks like all of his water in one go after not drinking all day, like father like son I guess
Just thinking about the kid that I was… I used to make presents to bring to mall Santa every year, I would put together a tiny bed for the tooth fairy incase she wanted to spend the night instead of having to fly all the way there and back in one night, when leaving out cookies and milk for Santa I also left carrots for the reindeer, I would go out after storms to rescue all the worms on the sidewalk
I was five years old when former President Barack Obama was first elected president, I barely knew what a president was but I knew my mom canvassed for him which in my little five year old brain meant that he had won because of her and therefore would have to listen to me about how to run the country. So I made him two booklets on a subject surely he didn’t know about, animal suffrage (one was about animals going extinct and the other was about animals in shelters), saying that he had to fix it… I never heard back but I’m sure he got right on it
