I was really excited to work on the broom shop painting but my hand started hurting from the repetitive strain injury. This happens pretty often, and when it does, I like to switch from SAI on my desktop tablet to Procreate on my iPad. The change in posture between these two methods lessens the hand pain.

I don't like to make big details paintings on a tiny iPad screen so for now I'm jotting down my broom ideas for the shop :D So far we have Celestial Oak, Spying Aspen, and Heathland Shroom. What other brooms would you like to see?

I know this is a witchcraft blog, but most of my practice involves simply observing nature as it is, and I think it's something everyone can benefit from. Not necessarily trying to understand it, or judge it, but quietly being present while it exists to do the only thing it's meant to do. To me, expanding my knowledge of the world is witchcraft. And almost conversely, just because we understand how something works doesn't make it any less magical. Sure, you water a seed and it becomes a plant. But that is an organism that eats sunlight and that is magical and I will not be convinced otherwise. When you look up at the Milky Way and it looks back at you, yeah it seems reasonable to point above your head and say something like, "The Gods live in the Heavens. Jupiter is up there, and he's watching over me." The line between literal and metaphorical blurs, and the microcosm reflects the macrocosm.

I wonder where Humanity would be if there weren’t systems built to keep people in survival mode. Where would we be as a race if we were given the proper time to develop spiritually, had structures that promoted self-care, that encouraged taking care of the community instead of destroying it? These current systems in place aren’t natural. The killing of our soul to keep these things alive isn’t normal or okay. Humanity doesn’t stand for this, nor were we built for it.  We should have enlightened societies that uplift the soul, the good of Humanity. This is what is normal to us.
