How have you been enjoying uni in the UK so far? ❤️

I’m so sorry it took me so long to see this ask!!! Unfortunately I never got to attend the university I was accepted into in the UK. The bursary I was planning to use to pay for my first year stopped being available to international students just before I started my first term. (I know that sounds awful, but it was the government’s doing, not the school’s! They were very kind to me at the school and basically told me if I wanted to come back for grad school that I’d have no problem getting in again.) I was crushed tbh but I’m about to head off to school in the US in a couple weeks! I’m still planning to study music and entertainment law and I’m very excited. I also have an option to do a semester abroad so my UK study dreams aren’t completely dead yet 🤞 Anyway thank you for this question, you’re very sweet! And apologies it took so long to answer 🫡

Some thoughts/headcanons under the cut lol

I like to think of kid Regina as someone who spend any moment she could away from home. Horseback riding being her favorite activity, but finding an escape in nature and loving other animals (big and small) as well.

Spending hours outside in the woods behind the estate and having to run back to be home in time for tea. Having to hurry out of her dirty clothes so her mother doesn't get mad.

Young Regina who despised the confines of feminity and prefered comfortable practical clothes that she could actually move in. Racing outside for the hell of it, swinging stick swords and climbing trees and imagining a life away from her mother.

Regina cutting her long hair short because she hates how long it takes to have it done up. Cora punishing her for it and using magic to grow it back because no daughter of hers will look like a boy.

Regina getting older and hitting puberty and suddenly nothing is allowed anymore. She needs to be feminine she needs to be pristine she needs to be quiet and obedient. Everything she does is wrong. She needs to be better. She needs to behave. She needs to be good or suffer the consequenses. Horseriding being the only thing she can still do, and even that is criticized.

Also, young Regina being able to communicate with animals 👀 Maybe as an early sign of innate magical ability or something (idk about ouat magic rules dont look at me) Then during her marriage with the king (<////3) she still communicated with animals because she is lonely and miserable as hell, and Snow catches her doing it and demands Regina teaches it to her, which is how Snow is able to do it later on in the show. Like hghgh!!! Much to think about actually.

Regina's eventual evil queen getup being a mask and shield and a weapon all in one. Sexual feminity to manipulate and send out an image of power and strength but it is a mask for sure. Like hghgh!!! Much to think about actually...

random thought about a show i havent seen in years but the core premise of OUAT was so funny. Regina could’ve literally killed all of those people but instead she carefully crafted a bizarro world and meticulously gave everyone a little name and little job that accurately reflected their original life and made them all live out the same mediocre day over and over but like. she was the only person who knew that. girl you just put yourself in the endless torture vortex however you would’ve done numbers in the modern AU fic scene if given the chance i think
