Here's a sort of recap of everything:
The current organization at work for the next month is:
On Mondays, I work remotely from uni, attend a class, work, class, work
On Tuesdays, I'm on PTO/vacation and attend classes (there's a lab in the afternoon that I don't know how long it will take)
On Wednesdays, I work remotely, attend a class and then work
On Thursdays and Fridays, I work from the office.
Here's the completion status on the to-do of the first post of this thread:
complete enrolling process - Halfway done, uni needs to verify the payment of taxes before giving me my student number, I will check the status both online and at the admin office
ask the IT department for the credentials to use the work phone on my mobile - I ASKED, but they still have to answer, right now I manually did the call forwarding on the office phone, but when someone calls, I only see my number
book a room for the first week of classes and check if they have availability for the next 9 weeks or find another solution within my budget - DONE, booked a hostel, and even if it's mixed dormitories, as it is low season, they put a single person per room. I already told the staff my necessities, and the receptionist told me to speak to his colleague tomorrow to see availability and if they can give me a discount on dormitories or single rooms. When he told us this my mom also changed her mind about renting a room, as here I only have to make my bed when I arrive and cook meals and pay dirty cheap for all of this, it's quiet, clean, down the street from the uni, and whatever I may need is close by
prepare luggage for two days - DONE, actually three days, I calculated that it would be easier for me to come here on Sundays as I have to log on to work at 8 am on Mondays and as it takes one hour by train I would have to wake up at 5
find a way to carry both uni and work computer + notebook in one bag without breaking my back - DONE, brought my work bag (a backpack) and the work computer bag
I forgot to bring some stuff, like a shower caddy/bag and a cup for my toothbrush, and I couldn't find my flip-flops so I took the gym ones. I think that by spending time here I will understand what stuff I actually need.
Tomorrow is the first day of classes and I'm so excited but also quite anxious about this new adventure. Probably by week three I will be a crying mess and cursing the day I decided to continue studying while also working.
Also, also, today is one year I graduated, time sure does fly.
P.S. Sorry for the long post I talk a lot, which means that I also write a lot, and I do not have the gift of conciseness.
