Ave Maria by Henryka Ternier — This image was created from the most basic human need to love and be loved. Visually, it expresses the love a mother has for her child , not just the love of the Blessed Virgin for her Son , but also the love for all mankind. Emotionally, it evokes a sense of vulnerability and a sense of protection . Spiritually , it has become an invitation to prayer , especially praying with one of the oldest , most beautiful and most powerful prayers - the Holy Rosary .

This description of Mary as a young mother and her son is universal; it represents all the people, all ages, all times and places. The infinite vastness of the night sky increases our smallness and our voices asking God to “watch us”. The light that radiates from the child is the answer of God, the promise that “He is with us”.

The ” Ave Maria ” project was a promise made by a grieving mother who committed the soul of her son to the care of our Blessed Mother. His name was Alan, 1974-1987 .
