A trial begins today to stop the mistreatment of people in a for-profit Mississippi prison where mentally ill individuals, who are at risk of death and loss of limbs, have resorted to setting their cells on fire to receive medical attention The federal lawsuit that prompted the trial in Jackson describes how prison officials have known of the dangerous conditions at the East Mississippi Correctional Facility (EMCF) for years, but failed to protect the health and safety of people who are incarcerated there. The prison houses nearly 1,300 seriously mentally ill people. The class-action lawsuit was filed by the SPLC in 2013 with the American Civil Liberties Union, the Law Office of Elizabeth Alexander, and Covington & Burling LLP.

I have stretch marks.
Reblog if you do too. Just to prove that it is more normal than what people actually think.
Every time there is a school shooting in america, this bears repeating.
What about people who use EBT for junk food and energy drinks, then pull out their debit card to purchase groceries? That's abusing the system.
lol please fucking explain to me how that’s abusing the system
let me tell yall about the most satisfying response i’ve ever given to someone judging me for using my ebt card to buy cake.
so heres what happened: im on disability, because i’m disabled. last year got told i could possibly die due to kidney issues right, and was scheduled for a surgery later in the week, which ended up getting pushed sooner due to how serious it was. anyway
im over here like “if im gonna die i at least want some cake before i do” so i buy two individual slices of cake, and the lady at the check out was basically like “thats a lot of cake to be putting on that card” and im like “got told i was going to die so i wanted to have cake before it happened” and she sure shut the fuck up.
regardless leave poor people the fuck alone. its literally proven that poor people on ebt benefits eat the same shit as everyone else. fuck off with your fear mongering bullshit
go police your damn self. maybe you need less junkfood. who is to fucking say. apparently you because youre the god of what people should and shouldn’t eat you fucking dickhole prick.
All of this! ^^^^

Classic Drumpf humor.
I will not have you without the darkness that hides within you. I will not let you have me without the madness that makes me. If our demons cannot dance, neither can we.
