- Got married to my lovely Sarah <3 in the 27th of January & moved into our new home to spend the happiest year of my life.
- My wife passed the 2nd part of master exam, had her research paper publish approval & got her master degree in Anesthesia and surgical intensive care!
- My cousin Sherif Najeeb got engaged then married.

- My dear friend Haitham Abd Elbare got engaged & had his marriage documented & his wedding will be held soon!
- I've done my doctorate research protocol and the title is 'Perioperative thromboelastometry as a predictor of thrombotic complications during pediatric liver transplantation' , got it registered on clinicaltrials.org & I'm still struggling to get acceptance letter to do it abroad.
- As a member of Liver transplantation team, We did 10 adult transplantation cases & I attended 1 pediatric liver transplantation case in Menoufia liver institute.
- As an Operation smile volunteer, I attended 1 mini mission in June.
- I have been awarded a bursary for the Essential Anaesthesia Online Programme from World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA).
- I attended the 34th International Annual Conference Egyptian Anaesthesia (EgSA 2018) in Cairo.
- I took ACLS (Advanced cardiovascular life support) instructor renewal course
- I gave 2 BLS (Basic Life Support) lectures to house officers & students.
- I gave 12 ACLS (Advanced cardiovascular life support) courses in collaboration with other instructors.
- I had PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) instructor course & I gave my 1st course in collaboration with other instructors.
- Took The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) general exam with the following scores: *Verbal reasoning 141 *Quantitative reasoning 145 *Analytical Writing 3
- Passed completely the 1st part doctorate exams.
- In 2018, I almost worked in all ORs for some time & got shifts mainly 6 places: *Alrajhy Liver Institute: whenever there r transplant cases.
*Obstetrics & gynaecology ICU: January, 1st half of March.
*Critical care ICU: 2nd half of March till the end of June.
*Trauma unit: July till the last week of September.
*Cardio-thoracic surgeries: Last week of September till the 2nd week of December.
*Neurosurgery Postoperative ICU: the 2nd week of December till now.

*Others:- World Cup 2018: have seen Egypt playing in the world cup finally.
- I played football with friends but not in a regular basis around 5 times the whole year.
- Participated in Assiut University Hospital champions league & we were eliminated from the group stage after suffering 3 defeats.
- Played a lot of PES 2018 & PES 2018 with my friends.
- My favorite team Arsenal finished in the 6th place in Season 2017-2018 & failed again to qualify to UCL, lost the EFL cup final & eliminated at UEL semi-finals. I've seen UCL without Arsenal & an Arsenal without Arsène Wenger.
- In my 1st year in fantasy premier league:
* Ranking Overall: 17852 out of 5910135 player
* won 4 out of 4 classic leagues
3 out of 4 head to head leagues
Excellent scores but this season I'm getting much less scores.
- I also played UCL & World cup fantasy but my scores doesn't worth mentioning.
- I have a new phone: LG G6
- I have a new big TV: My Samsung 55 Inch 4K UHD Smart Curved LED TV
- I received unexpected surprise birthday tart from my lovely wife with Premier league logo & Dr. Fantasy champion featured over it!
I won a mug in Match score prediction contest.
- I have gained 8 Kg after marriage & with diet I lost 4 kg till now.
- As a surprise for my wife at her birthday, We attended for the 1st time Omar Khairat concert at Cairo Opera House.
- 2nd time to have an IV line inserted in me & 1st time to have IV fluids in my circulatory system.
** This is what I remember & chose to share from 2018.
Time goes by super fast & documenting events may be the only prove that we actually lived a full year!
