Ways TVD S6 could have been awesome (Bonnie centric), part 3

Tyler stops Liv from doing the spell and they meet Delena in the graveyard.

Elena: NO!

Tyler: I’m sorry. Kai is here and he’s going to kill Liv! He almost did a few minutes ago.

Damon: We were almost there. We drove half-way across country to meet her there*. It was the Delena road trip to end all road-trips. Who would have thought Elena and I listening to old 90s music in my Camaro and talking about how awesome Bonnie is would make us love each other again? It was certainly far more romantic than sitting in the old Gilbert house, reminiscing and guilt tripping while Bonnie bursted her ass driving 7 hours across country. 

Elena: And Bonnie was literally five minutes away!

Tyler: I know. I’m trying to save Liv…

Elena: You mean, the way Bonnie saved your life! It shouldn’t be a choice, you ingrate!

Tyler: Do you think this is easy for me?! I love Bonnie, OK? I’m helping to get her back. But Kai is here, now. That means he’s not in the prison world with Bonnie. Bonnie is safe from him. It’s Liv that is in danger now and Bonnie… we’ll get her back. We have everything we need to get her back, OK? But we’re not going to get her back today or any other day if you kill the only Gemini witch who’s going to help us.

*Very important this. 

I mean, it still sucks that Bonnie gets shafted. But at least, have Tyler actually feel bad about it. Have Tyler actually give some good sound logic for it - besides Jo’s life is more important to me than Bonnie’s.

I like this one but knowing the fandom they will ignore it and bash tyler so here's my version

Liv will get kidnapped by her father and his henchmen (kai will go after jo)

And then Damon and Elena will return and Will get ambushed by Joshua Parker because he forced liv to undo the spell because he doesn't want kai to get out

And then out of nowhere a knife will a thrown at one of the henchmen aiming a gun at Elena it turns out that tyler throw it and then a bunch of men (a wolf men tyler knew at the beginning of season 5) will ambush the coven giving some time for tyler to rescue elena and liv (why would he save Damon)

Ridiculous ? Maybe but hey Tyler is allowed to be badass and the fandom only pay attention to badass characters

Unpopular opinion: liv and Luke was a more convincing siblings bond than defan

It's fresh seeing Bonnie fans who aren't bamon Stans their friendship felt weird for me why would Bonnie be friends with the man who abuse her best friend and killed her friend's uncle and never apologised about it it also felt like it only existed to benefit Damon's character big example is when everybody turned into an asshole in season 6 so Damon can look like a hero when he saves Bonnie

I agree with this, but I also think that this is a problem with all the characters, and the writing in general, and not just with Bonnie/Bamon. The show kind of just... makes everyone be OK with Damon's bad behavior. Julie simply refused to make him accountable for his actions.

The sad thing about this is that a lot of Bamon fans loved this arc. The picture of Damon being the only one who cared for Bonnie and tried to save her was too big a shipping high for them to care that this came at the price of Bonnie being even more neglected and unloved by everyone else. In exchange for the crumbs of seeing Damon doing the bare minimum to save Bonnie, they were willing to watch Bonnie go through another trauma arc where she's forgotten by everyone else.

Yes, I am still bitter.

Tyler and Matt and Kai didn't become friends with Damon which is why one of them became so irrelevant and the others had to die

Re watching season 6 and even tho Tyler lacked screen time in this season he's more watchable than the rest of the main characters (except Bonnie of course) because at least he was involved in the Gemini coven plot like why should I care about no memories delena, steroline bonding while Liz is dying, enzo's obsession with the Salvatores

And the worst of all most of them got more screen time than the most interesting plotlines the prison world and the Parker family it's like one of the writers gave plec this interesting storyline and somehow she approved it but then she realised that the poc characters will be more relevant so she decided to force Damon into the plot line and then she ended it

Bonnie, Tyler and Alaric (!!) were the most relevant main cast members in season 6. Doesn’t it show something how of the 3 of them, it’s only Alaric that benefits from that story i.e. the storyline kept him relevant and even got him a spin-off while Tyler and Bonnie get written out of it? Tyler leaves the show and eventually dies. Bonnie is moved out of the storyline and Caroline ends up becoming more relevant to the Gemini coven and the Parker family.

And what's more funnier is all Alaric did in season 6 was dating jo , Tyler at least got to interact with Kai and punched Joshua but of course matt Davis and plec share a lot when it's comes to racism so Alaric gets a spin off, I'm still suprised how plec replaced what could have been the most interesting plot line of the show with no humanity steroline it's like she hates the audience and wants us to stopping watching

It's a shame they killed the Parker family in the season 6 finale they were more interesting than most of the characters that made into season 7 especially enzo why the hell they kept him instead of Kai ,Kai was more interesting, more funnier and his character was consistent and his chemistry with Kat is amazing

And if they couldn't keep Kai (because Chris wood was busy with another show) at least they could have kept liv, Tyler won't be screwed over and them being Josie and Lizzie makes more sense than Caroline and Alaric and she's definitely more interesting than the lame heretics and if she didn't flirt with Jeremy (which was pointless) her and Bonnie would be great friends

Yes, the entire Parker and Gemini Coven was wasted potential and not just because of Bonkai although that’s a significant loss. They were better characters, lore and dynamics than the heretics and Lily Salvatore who were more poor man’s Mikaelsons than their own thing. But all that went down the toilet because Julie didn’t want Kat to be the female lead after Nina left the show.

It's like the writers were trolling us or something the Gemini coven and the prison world were most interesting plot line in the last 4 seasons but once the writers realised that Tyler and Bonnie are the main characters in that plotline (let's be honest Damon after episode 5 was useless) they decided to get rid of it

A small rant on Forwood (and why I don’t like it as both a Tyler and Caroline stan.)

(Before I start I should say I very much like Tyler more than Caroline, so it honestly might show in this rant. Regardless, it’s not an attack on her character, more so how poor writing makes Caroline worse than she actually is. Anywho.)
