I honestly don't think we needed the whole Mikaelson family as antagonists for S3. That is a way too overpowered villain team the only reason the MFG wasn't dead was because of shitty writing. They should've kept Klaus as the only villain. Him and his growing Hybrid army. The main trio for S3 would be Elena, Bonnie and Tyler who would be working together to take Klaus down. Klaus needs Elena for his hybrids, Tyler is his first hybrid and Bonnie was the one who figured how to make his hybrids and she also comes from the strong witch bloodline so he's taking all three them with him when he leaves mystic falls.

The perfect tvd season 3 would’ve been all about Bonlena and Klyler with a side of Tynnie/Klena and Klonnie/Tylena and NO MIKAELSONS (love them but they were introduced too early imo)
