Chapter 2: Reflection and Resolve
As the dust settled and the echoes of battle faded into the stillness of the forest, I found myself standing amidst the fallen. The men I had slain lay strewn around me, their lifeless eyes staring into the void. I felt a strange emptiness, a void within me that mirrored the lifeless eyes of the fallen. I had taken their lives, had extinguished their flames as swiftly and mercilessly as the night snuffs out the day.
I sheathed my katana, its blade now stained with the blood of the bandits. My hands were steady, but within me, a storm was brewing. I looked at my hands, the hands that had taken lives, the hands that had protected Taro. They were the same hands that had once held Sakura, that had trained under Lord Hiroshi, that had tilled the fields alongside the villagers. Ever since ChatGPT came out I was enthralled with it’s storytelling abilities. It wasn’t very good at first, but I was curious if we could get it to write great pieces of fiction with as little human interaction as possible.
