Looks like transphobes aren't going to be spewing their hate on Discord anytime soon.
extra love to trans people who have to go by their dead name around their families for the holidays
Fact #1022: All the trans people who have to put up with misgendering and deadnaming during the holidays are strong af and deserve better.
Fact #1021: Your gender is still just as real and valid as ever, even if your family don't acknowledge it during the holidays.

GUYS SOME GOOD NEWS
LGBTQ+ subscribers to the "gold card" universal health scheme will have access to gender-affirming surgery in the next couple of months.
thank you for the English article!!
since many are saying things like "time to move to thailand" or something like that (though I know most are joking!) I feel like it's important to mention
Thailand isn't perfect by any means, there are still a lot of equality and societal problems not to mention the monarchy is still a thing. but a step is a step and it's great to celebrate this, just don't put us on a pedestal, there is still a long way to go!
I've said this before and I'll say it again:
You don't need to understand me to respect me.
I don't owe you an explanation, and I don't owe you any kindness. I especially don't owe you more kindness than you show me.
lovely mural by the coffee shop this morning
As the holidays get closer, this is your friendly reminder, that you don't owe people anything.
You don't owe them masking/hiding your disability, you don't owe being nice toward hateful or ableist comments and/or behavior.
You don't have to compromise on your accommodations - others should learn to respect your needs.
In fact, you don't owe it to them to show up.
You do whatever you need to take care of yourself both physically and mentally <3
hello this is my favorite post ever and also life goals
Awww,,, goalsssss
Not scene but reblogging anyway cuz this is my blog and I think it’s SO FUCKING IMPORTANT as a young trans person to see older trans people that are still happy and alive and in a good place in life with people that love them. We all deserve this <3

i know it's bleak out there for queer folks, but please keep this in mind: i can open Spotify right now with the intention of listening to trans artists and i wouldn't even know where to start. there are so many smart and beautiful trans and gay people sharing educational content, vlogs, and silly videos while openly and loudly queer. there are video games that allow custom pronouns, where you can romance anyone of any gender, where you can make characters that are asexual and aromantic and cant be changed. there are tv shows fully about gay people. cis/het allies are everywhere. PLEASE dont forget how far we've come. i love you, stay safe.
it blows my mind that people think you can tell what genitals someone has, what hormones they take or what hormones their body primarily produces, or what their medical history has been like just by looking at them. my AGAB changed twice when i was a kid. i was confidently announced in my ultrasounds and after my birth to be male.
my parents fully prepared for a male child, with a "boy's" name and all. something changed after this and they had to change to taking care of a "female" child, which then changed to "wow idk dude" during puberty due to the combination of both "male" and "female" traits that were now developing.
you have no way of knowing what's going on with my body just by looking at me, and it goes for any other stranger. people can have extremely long and complicated histories with their physical sex and it's just not worth trying to go the extra mile to 'figure out' what someone "originally was". it's impossible.
