The tale of a lost soul that helped to win a war
Once upon a time, there was a boy, a lonely and withdraw boy. When he was a child, he used to think that his life was perfect. A great family, an awesome brother and as many toys as he could ever dream. Life sounded perfect and felt perfect too. However, it was all an illusion. Slowly, the little boy started to learn that happiness was not a concept celebrated and longed for in his house. The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black was just as the name suggested the complete absence of light.
As the years passed, the boy tried to be the perfect son and the perfect brother. Nevertheless, no matter how much he tried, it was never enough. He tried to be what his parents expected of him, but in the process, he lost his brother. It was, as he could never win, whatever he choose, there was always a trick. Always a bargain to be made. But he was not ready for a change, not yet.
Even though love was not something to be praised for a Black, against the odds, he fell in love. He could experience the greatness of love, even with all his imperfections. It was good, damn, it was great. He would fall asleep with the smell of her golden hair lingering in his hands, it was a mix of jasmine and ocean breeze. On those precious moments, he was just a boy. And nothing was expected from him than just life a full and happy life. Many would say that his life was dark and empty. But if he could, he would say otherwise. It was short, yes, but it was full and more important, it was meaningful.
It is not his name who is celebrated, it is not his name that people whisper to each other, it is not his name who is synonymous of greatness. Nonetheless, without him, everything would have been different. It was just three letters. Three mysterious letters, R.A.B., Regulus Arcturius Black, the boy who changed the course of the war. The boy who also won the war. The boy who lost his soul but help many others to live longer, happy and fully.
Once upon a time, there was a boy, who sacrifice himself for a better world. Do not forget his name. He was just a child; he did not have the time to feel the world around him.
