Some of y'all are more upset about which fictional characters are kissing each other than about a literal genocide that's happening right now.
Instead of sending that anonymous message go do your daily clicks for Palestine. While you're there do your clicks for the other causes on Arab.com too.
Instead of being rude to someone on the internet, check out this list of evacuation fundraisers and donate if you can.
Instead of sharing some hateful comments, amplify the voices of the people in Gaza who are just trying to survive.
Adding a couple more resources to this. If you feel the urge to be an asshole to someone over fictional characters, channel your energy into helping the people of Palestine instead.
Operation Olive Branch is a grassroots group who have put together a spreadsheet of GoFundMes for Palestine. The sheet tracks the progress of the GoFundMes, what they're raising funds for, and the socials for the person/people when possible. I spent thirty minutes going through and donating to GoFundMes that are less than 5% to their goal - there are a lot of them and every dollar helps.
No Thanks App - it isn't a place to donate but instead an app that allows you to scan the barcode of items before buying them and tells you if that product has ties to Israel. It even includes a link to proof when the product does have ties (I tried it on a few different items in my bathroom and found one that is on the list for reference)

followers who have had/are looking to get top surgery!!! i highly recommend thinking about scar mobilization. many times a scar after soft tissue surgery will feel "stiff" or "stuck." this is because in scar tissue, the soft tissue layers partially fuse together:
luckily this can be reversed at least partially most of the time through massage. once the wound is completely scarred over, you can begin to gently but firmly massage across the scar with 2-3 fingers in up and down, side to side, and clockwise/counterclockwise circular motions (more repetitions than i'm doing here), you can also gently pull the scar if it's not painful:
start with very light pressure and increase as time goes on. this should never be painful, only sometimes feeling that "tight" feeling. again, the wound must be COMPLETELY scarred over, no scabs whatsoever. but you can start massaging as soon as that happens.
you can do these as often as you like as long as it's not painful, but once or twice a day for maybe 5 minutes is definitely enough
btw this works for every soft tissue scar, not just top surgery. the same method is used for things like C-section scarring
scar massage is so helpful!!! best thing my care team told me when it was time to start scar massage was that when you’re doing it, you will likely feel the scar tissue breaking underneath your fingers. it feels like rope splitting underneath your fingers. it’s a weird thing to get used to but it’s completely normal
!! i forgot about this sensation. you will probably feel the tissue give way to the massage, it doesn't hurt it just feels really weird. you will notice this especially if you begin massage as soon as u can, less so if it's an old scar
We can even walk on water.
randomly thinking about that huge mosaic floor that that family in Gaza unearthed in their backyard last year, no idea if they're safe, no idea how their home or that incredible archeological discovery has fared, maybe the IDF excavated it and moved it to one of their shitty museums, no fucking clue
I tried to find the podcast where I first heard about archaeology in Israel, and in Jerusalem specifically. I thought it was NPR, but if it was I wasn’t able to find it again. The TLDR was that Israeli archaeologists look for anything that legitimizes Israel’s presence there, so they search specifically for Jewish evidence, and discard everything else. Jewish, Christian, and Muslim groups have lived in Jerusalem in peace for centuries, but evidence of that is being thrown away as irrelevant to the aim of these digs. One of the big technical criticisms of these archaeological digs is that it’s bad archaeology. When you’re trying to investigate the past, you dig deep and vertically, trying to avoid damaging the layers as much as you can. These archaeologists dig horizontally, destroying much of the evidence of other cultural groups’ existences in the process.
Anyway, I couldn’t find the podcast, but here’s a source that talks about the same thing a bit:
The tunnels under Jerusalem seek to push forward an exclusively Jewish narrative of the city while putting Palestinian lives at risk, critic
I think I found the original source!
