Rum & Roses || Aiden & Bo
Bo looked at Aiden curiously as she spoke and picked at the ends of her sleeves, a smirk on his lips. “Hope so..” he replied quietly and looked back to the leaves above, resting his back on the tree once again. “I’ve seen a few people flip, but usually when they mix or just panic. It feels great honestly. It’s acid that can have you clawing your own eyes out if your not careful.”
Aiden bit back a laugh. "I'm not gonna flip," she said, smile returning as she spoke. "So," she added after a moment. "What got you into this shit, anyway?" He was hardly older than her, she thought, but so much more... experienced. She barely drank before coming to Mansford-- one would think the good doctors would keep a closer eye on their charges, she thought dryly. At least she'd managed to skip most of her meals. Her stomach grew queasy at the thought of the last meal she'd eaten. It had to be at least a thousand calories, she noted. And the rum she'd downed without thought... Closing her eyes for a moment, Aiden forced herself to focus. This is supposed to be fun, she reminded herself.
We Are Nowhere and Its Now || Aiden & Bradin
Aiden closed her eyes as she stepped through the doorway into the gardens, the heavy steel door swinging shut behind her with an air of finality. It wasn't final, she knew, but she could pretend. She could sit in the gardens for hours on end and pretend that things were fine, that she was on the outside again. Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes. It was nearing evening, the last rays of sunlight barely making their way through the clouds. The air was cool. Shivering, she pulled her jacket tighter around her before shoving her hands deeper into her pockets. Finally, she reached her destination: a large oak tree in the center of the garden. In the short weeks she'd been at the institute, it had become something of a sanctuary to Aiden. She let out a low sigh, leaning against the tree before sinking down to sit on the dew-dampened grass.
Rum & Roses || Aiden & Bo
Moving his eyes from the trees above them, Bo looked to Aiden with a small smile playing on his lips. “All we can do,” he replied quietly, tucking the baggie back into his pocket. He studied her for a moment, noticing that she seemed a little nervous, but it didn’t shine as bright as her excitement. “You ever try ecstasy before?” He had to ask, wondering if the girl knew what to expect. Too many times did he see first timers flip shit, not realizing what to expect.
"You ever try ecstasy before?" Aiden's grin faded slightly, though barely noticeable, and she shook her head. His tone was curious, perhaps a bit apprehensive. "Why?" she asked after a moment, her lips curving back up into a small smirk. "Afraid I'll freak or something?" She paused, fingers picking at the frayed edges of her jacket sleeves. "Trust me," she added after a moment, "I can handle it."
Rum & Roses || Aiden & Bo
Her ‘Duh’ made Bo smile a bit and he allowed her to take the baggie from him as he popped the tablet in his mouth, washing it down with a swig of the rum before she did the same in return. Now all he had to do was wait. Experience told him that it would take about thirty minutes, twenty on a empty stomach before the drug would take affect. Then about five to ten minutes or so before it really hit and so on and so forth. Leaning back against a tree, Bo closed his eyes for a moment. He knew it was sick, the hold drugs always had on him, but a part of him really didn’t give a fuck. He didn’t care that he was slowly killing himself. In fact, he was hoping for it. Opening his eyes, he looked at the girl for a moment, his bright blue eyes studying her carefully before he looking down at the bottle and took another swig, returning his eyes to the trees leaves above.
Aiden felt a small smile crossing her lips as she glanced at Bo. She could tell he was thinking the same thing she was-- all that was left to do was wait. While certainly not as innocent as her parents liked to think she was, Aiden wasn't exactly as rebellious as she made herself out to be, either. Ecstasy was something new. Exciting, almost scary, she thought, smile growing into a smirk as she mirrored Bo's movements, closing her eyes and leaning back. "Now..." she began, drawing the word out lazily, letting it hang in the silence. "We wait?"
Are you confessing your feelings to me? I knew it. This can only mean one thing. You owe me a dinner, what do you think I am? [Bats his lashes] I’m not just any ol’ easy guy, don’t you know? I’m a delicate flower.
Right... 'Delicate'. [Laughs] Fine. Dinner. Meet me in the gardens tomorrow, then?
[Chuckles with a devilish grin] You love me, you wanna marry me. Totally do. [Stretches out casually before wrapping an arm around her shoulders] You know you missed me, Miss sas a lot.
Uh-huh. And what if I do, huh?
Rum & Roses || Aiden & Bo
Bo looked to Aiden with a small smile, holding up the baggie but not high enough for any one else to see. He had worked hard for these drugs and the others hidden in his mattress, done things he would rather not dwell on. “Ecstacy,” he replied wth a small smile just as she realized on her own what he held, a smirk showing on her features. He wondered if she partook and taking one out for himself, he looked at her and held out the baggie. “Want some?”
Aiden grinned as Bo held the baggie up in the light. Not high enough for any guards to see, should they happen to look towards the two, but high enough for her to see. "Ecstacy," he said after a moment, smile mirroring her own. Then he took a pill from the bag before asking, "Want some?" Aiden arched one eyebrow incredulously, letting out a small laugh before replying: "Duh." Reaching gingerly into the baggie, she withdrew one pill. Then, her smile growing into a grin, she placed the pill on her tongue and chased it with a quick swig of rum. "Cheers."
You know what? I know why you’re so mean. You like me. [Grins and stars to sing song] You like me, you wanna touch me, you wanna kiss me, because you like me.
You wish.
Rum & Roses || Aiden & Bo
"I’m always far away," Bo mumbled in reply as she took the bottle and lifted it to her lips again. He looked up at the sky, watching the way the light filtered through the leaves of the trees. "Komorebi..” he muttered to himself quietly before looking down as he began to search his pockets for the pack of ciggs he had stolen only to remember that he left it in his room. He frowned slightly but the expression paused midway trough when his fingertips touched some plastic. The boy quirked a brow and pulled out a small bag containing a few tablets of ecstasy, bringing a small smile to his lips. So he hadn’t left all his drugs behind.
"I'm always far away," Aiden heard Bo reply quietly. Setting the bottle back between them, she nodded solemnly. He murmured something else, too quiet for her to hear, but she didn't bother asking what it was. He rarely answered gave her a straight answer, it seemed. Glancing over, she saw him digging in his pockets, frowning slightly for a moment before lifting a small plastic bag from his pocket, his expression morphing into a smile. "What's that?" Aiden asked softly, looking intently at the bag for a moment before she realized what was inside it: Pills. It was obvious by their packaging that they weren't from the clinic's admittedly well-stocked pharmacy. Which meant only one thing: drugs. With that realization, Aiden's eyes lit up, her mouth turning up into a smirk.
Sounds interesting, but there needs to be some way to distract the guards.. hm.
I'm sure we can manage something.
You have any ideas?
We should... Fuck, I don't know. Throw a party in the gardens?
Rum & Roses || Aiden & Bo
Her mumbled apology fell on deaf ears as Bo stayed stuck in his thoughts. It was something he did often, buried himself in memories of people places and things. Anything that kept him from facing the reality that sat stretched out before him. Anything to keep himself from focosuing too much on the fact that he was trapt in a door-less cage. He licked his bottom lip, only vaguely acknowledging that she took the bottle from his hand, but when she spoke again, he blinked and looked towards her.
"Huh?, " he asked before her question sunked into his liquor sodden brain. "Just stuff.." he mumbled after a moment of hesitation. He hadn’t drunk enough to start speaking without thought. "Why?"
Aiden shrugged slightly as Bo spoke. "Just wondering," she replied after a moment, turning towards him. "You just seemed... far away. That's all." Another shrug punctuated her response. Lifting the bottle to her lips once more, she tilted her head back, taking a long drink as she lifted her gaze to the sky: The sun shone brightly through the trees, casting light across the gardens. The air was warm; a beautiful day to be alive, she thought dryly.
It’s always a good time sitting back and watching other people’s soap opera drama.
What d'ya say we liven things up a bit?
