La La Land || Faye & Aiden
Faye hadnât thought often about the appeal of driving mainly because she never had to do it while at school. It was something that she knew how to do but never actually put it to good use. Even at home she didnât want a car of her own due the fact that she liked to walk everywhere or Trent usually gave her a ride.Â
Her eyes glared at him as he held the door for her but she decided to ignore the comments that wanted to spill forth. Faye was attempting to be on her best behavior. âTheyâre already upset because I donât care about their opinions.â She settled into the seat, buckled herself and turned to him. âI know enough self defense already to put up a fight, anyway.âÂ
âThey better get used to it then, huh?â He closed the door and rested his palms atop of it, drumming his fingers on the seam that housed the windowsill. âBut that makes it all the better. Having them in an eternal state of being upset; itâs almost funny them, trying so hard but end up the ones burnt instead. Itâs worth dealing with their whining.â
He rounded the car to get into the driverâs seat. He took a moment to admire the interior, making a mental note to look at the price tag on the sort of car, and then turned the ignition, which hummed to life. He changed stations until he settled on a hip-hop song and then faced her. âBut that, I would love to see. A girl fighting is hot as fuck. Throwing you into the mix? Well, thatâs a feisty wet dream on itâs own.â His eye closed in a quick wink and then he shifted his attention to the road in front of him, easily pulling out of the space.
Though I find it absolutely abhorrent, Iâm inclined to agree with you. Manners seem to be a foreign concept to most of them, never mind propriety.
Trust me, the sky didnât open up and drop down rainbow-filled stars for me either, sweetheart. Theyâre twitchy and loud and need to get stuffed. In more ways than one.
Do I have extraordinarily little patience, or are freshmen getting more annoying?
Both, but they are getting more annoying. I think they were all raised in cages.

âIâll be planning on shutting you down even before that, I assure you.â It was precisely the truth. She really didnât see any positive incentive enough to stroke his ego and didnât really think he needed her to do so anyway. She wasnât one to try and please others and that wasnât going to suddenly change because an aesthetically pleasing male was the one making the plans.Â
There was her usual spark that wanted to come up and be difficult with the whole manner in which he was speaking but she had been on a good run so far with being pleasant. She wasnât ready to ruin her happy streak; though it really didnât show on the outside. âIt would take a lot to kill me.â She made the comment in passing as she eyed up his car in appreciation.Â
âNo need for the assurance, if you didnât I would think that there was something seriously wrong with you.â He jabbed his thumb into the unlock door button on the fob and couldnât help but smile at the piercing beeps and the flashing lights that followed. Not only was this his ticket off campus for the day but it was freedom in his fingertips. There was nothing quite like the feeling of driving a nice sports car and having the open road in front of him. There were many times he wanted to just drive and keep going until he had to stop but then the thought of his sister always stopped him from doing it.
He beat her to the card door and pumped the handle, holding it open for her. She would probably hate the gesture, he reasoned with how much she blew up over him simply calling her âsweetheartâ once, but he was an asshole, not an outright jerk. âSo poison, venom, and blunt force trauma are out of the question?â he asked, a teasing tone latching itself onto his words. âYour enemies may be upset to know that.â
La La Land || Faye & Aiden
Her mind had been surprisingly clear that afternoon. Faye knew the main reason she had been acting so calm compared to her normal attitude was because of her phone call with her brother the evening before. They had gotten over their argument from Spring Breakâthe main reason she hadnât even bothered to travel home. She missed her younger brother and being able to talk to him for a few hours put her in a euphoric state.Â
Though that didnât stop her from giving a cool response to Hannah when she informed her Aiden was at the door. She wished she had the energy to decipher exactly why she was agreeing to go anywhere with him but she settled for tentative curiosity. She sighed out her response as she closed the door behind her, âAlready beginning with high confidence in yourself?â She really had no expectation of their day and in fact it was taking a lot out of her comfort zone to even spend a day with another person.Â
âI was born with it, Tennison, I canât just shut it off,â Aiden replied, spinning the keys around his finger. âThough if I start speaking in third person Iâll allow you to shut it down.â His lips curled in the corner at what he had just said. It wasnât as if she would need permission to do so if he did start to speak in third person. She was hardly the sort to keep her own thoughts or opinions to herself in fear of insulting or hurting someone. It was refreshing, he had to amid, to know someone other than Connor that had similar way of working.
That being said he was a little surprised that she had gone along with his idea but then that went away. He was Aiden Chase for crying out loud, he could make anything sound good. Of course Faye would want to do something with him; compared to the others she could be spending her time with he probably came out looking as the best option. And heâd take it. âWeâre going into town,â he announced as he stepped off the front porch and headed in the direction of his waiting car. âAnd no, Iâm not telling you where weâre going. Youâre going to have to trust me. I know that might kill you but I promise you itâll be the best decision youâve ever made in your life.â
La La Land || Faye & Aiden
With a satisfied sigh, Aiden pressed the door lock button on the key fob in his hand. The sharp beeps coming from the rented sports car followed by the flashing lights. While the handbook said that students couldnât keep or operate a vehicle at Lefeuvre they never said a student couldnât rent one for use in the city. And permission wasnât anything he had to worry about, his father could put his name on anything as long as he had his lawyer read through the papers carefully. Besides, Aiden wouldnât be caught dead riding around in the schoolâs shuttle just to get into town. He was above that.
So he left the car in a designated parking spot and made the short stroll back across campus and to Rosalie house to get Faye for their day in the town. He had promised her a good time before and since he was already heading in he figured he may as well take her with him. âGo get Tennison and make it quick. I donât have time to stand around here all day,â he ordered the person who opened the door. He had barely looked at them being that they werenât the reason he was there. But when Faye arrived at the door he put on a smile and asked, âAre you ready for your world to be rocked?â

{âź}ââWell thatâs unncessarily rude.â Â He said with a slight huff, crossing his arms. Â âDo you enjoy making such rude comments to Freshmen?â Â He asked, furrowing his brow. Â âI donât get why you are being so rude to me.â
âOh boo fucking hoo. God, is this school filled with whiny babies? Waah, waah. Someone was rude to me. No oneâs ever been mean to be before. Iâm gonna die!â

{âź}ââNot really, trains are dangerous. Â Singing is fun. Â Have you ever tried singing out of tune, Mister Chase?â Â He asked brightly.
âI donât even sing out of tune on accident. Though Iâm not surprised someone like you would find something so lame entertaining. You simpletons need to find something to spice up your unnecessary lives.â
