The Architecture of Armor: Notes on Chapter 3
The final rose has fallen to the frozen lands. 🌹❄️
Tomorrow, Chapter 3 of To Regrow a Garden: Notes on Finding Yourself releases in its entirety on Wattpad.
I’m going to be completely honest with you all—this is the heaviest, most raw piece of the journey yet. If you have been following the narrator through the early pockets of warmth, the found family, and the butterfly-inducing rush of finding love in a quiet library, I need to give you a gentle heads-up: the frost is about to set in.
Chapter 3 is a systematic dismantling of safety. It tracks the exact moments the sanctuary shatters, the domestic anchors fail, and the innocence fades under a heavy winter of betrayal.
But it doesn’t leave you in the dark.
By splitting the climax poem, Mors Innocentiae, into two distinct parts, we pull the lens back to see the psychological aftermath. When innocence is executed, something else has to stand up in its place to keep the body breathing.
Becoming a calculated monster
hidden under layers of names
and memories that were given.
The "calculated monster" isn't a villain—it's the armor. The child died so that the survivor could live.
⚠️ Please Note: Because of the deeply visceral and honest exploration of family trauma, substance abuse, and implicit childhood abuse, this book has officially been changed to a Mature (18+) rating. If you carry similar shadows, please prioritize your well-being and take care of your heart while reading.
Link to the book is in my bio. See you tomorrow.
