What could I have become if I did not grow up with the circumstances in which I did? Sometimes I wonder- would I have pursued my interests more fully, less fully? Would I have experienced the darkness and weight I carry in the same way or differently; Would I have had more experiences? Would I have experienced freedom earlier?

Everyone likes to joke about how attractive they find John Mayer to be or whatever. They assume that’s the reason when I say he’s my favorite artist. No, it isn’t, whatsoever. It’s the fact that his music manages to reach down into my heart again and again and again.

I’ve thought about letting this go, disabling this account. I can’t seem to do it every time though. Once in awhile I feel nostalgia and scroll back, all the way to the beginning. I think about what I’ve been through, what I’ve lost, what I’ve gained, what I’ve succeeded over.

I never even thought I’d live to be 30. I never thought I wanted to see another day at one point(s). I’m faultily human, gray, everything all at once.
