i apologize for my lack of activity here! school is starting to pick up, but i promise i'll be back for spring break!

Have you seen Battler's friends Garry and Viola? Heard one of them is painting but their both in love, so what about that?

Did you honestly think we overlooked even a single pair of lovers…?

Foolish! Idiotic! We are love!

That half-baked attempt at a true bond won’t hatch, won’t fly unless we grant it! Only a miracle granted by our hands could give those two human souls! Only we may deem them qualified to bear everlasting love! Only we may deem them worthy enough to build a world of two together!

Without the miracle of our blessing, their world of two will not be complete…

What a fine day for love's end.

...Perhaps. Whether that end would be or not was entirely up to the sole focus of Zepar and Furfur's visit to the surface, Maxwell; the path he tread was one that lead only a single direction -- into the fires of a hell more despairing than their own -- and to the love he had created with the assistant he valued so much?

Well... Not even love could survive the payment that avarice demanded.

And so, a single grace was granted to him: A warning. One visit. One chance to recede his ways, to forfeit that book and be done with it all. The two were not as boorish as to simply watch a blooming love wither away and die, after all, and generosity was practically in their nature.

One final granted chance... to rewrite the end of the play before the curtains fell.

"You, who has befallen the fate of an enchained will!

"Listen well, Great Magician! Engrave our words into your very soul!"

Going upon Plum's thought, these forms -- gaudily dressed females -- are not always the forms they choose; for example, they'd take their normal, beastly forms around the other Pillars, or appear more refined in times when social occasions or business calls for it. These forms have only been appropriated to ensure their human contracts don't lose sanity upon first sight of them... and to entice their human contracts while they're at it.

Most of the time, when observing humans? They are formless. Silent. Most don't even know they're around, save for the air's slight drop in temperature. It is simply their duty to bless love and leave -- they don't have time for anything else unless contracted, or unless the situation between two lovers is riveting enough to warrant them observing.

Quite. Though now I'm curious how they would react if they learned about... Charlie.

Oh boy.

It's possible that they watched Charlie and William back in the days of old; they are embodiments of the concept of love, after all, and to oversee love between humans is their duty... As well as to sense coming disaster and undo the knot of "everlasting love", for the sake of both lovers. Some things are simply not meant to withstand the test of tragedy and time.

It's been a long while, though. They'll most likely still forget about it until somehow prompted.
