One day you’ll wake up and you’ll be so glad you didn’t settle for just anything, and you chose to wait on God’s plan.

Vegans of tumblr, listen up. Harvesting agave in the quantities required so you dont have to eat honey is killing mexican long-nosed bats. They feed off the nectar and pollinate the plants. They need the agave. You want to help the environment? Go back to honey. Your liver and thyroid will thank you, as well. Agave is 90% fructose, which can cause a host of issues. Bye.
So let me get this straight ,vegans should stop eating the food of the Mexcian long-nosed bats, because the bats need it, and instead vegans should instead eat honey, the food of bees, that their larvae need, even though the bee populations are facing ecological issues as it stands. 10/10 post, dude.
Did you forget the whole part where only excess is taken and all their needs are met and then some orrrr?
Like, did you read it orrrrr?
Anyway, BUY HONEY SAVE BEES
It is a 10/10 post. Because OP is right.
Bees do not suffer when beekeepers take their honey, because experienced beekeepers do not take all of their honey, in fact, they leave plenty of honey left for the bees to consume over the winter. If we do not collect their honey, 1 of two things will happen.
1. they will leave for a bigger home. Which at first seems fine until you remember that bees are dying very quickly out in the wild.
or
2. They will start using the areas that they reserve for their young as a place to make more honey. This is bad because if no more young are being produced, then the hive will start to die out because no new workers are coming into the world, and the average live only 150 days, so it would also mean the loss of more bees.
So yeah, eating honey isn’t inhumane at all. In fact, you’re helping the bees by eating what they produce and giving money to the bee keepers who are the ones making sure that the hive will keep being healthy.
EAT HONEY
idk I think I’m kinda hot.
I have so much anxiety being plus size and dark skin in a world that denies femininity to Black women and larger gals. I subconsciously use excessive make up, the color pink, skirt and dresses to try to apologize for who I am. And this picture, almost no makeup, dark colors, jeans, skin showing, double chin not hidden by a clever angle is a picture of who I am. it’s proof that I can go out into the world without an apology. I am beautiful
I SAID YES! 💍
On Saturday, September 29, 2018, My best friend asked me to marry him. Under the arch at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, through tears and kisses I said yes!
Today, on Sunday October 6, 2018 before Friends, Family, our Church, and God, our pastor/his father prayed over us and committed to being there for us as we move forward and take steps toward being husband and wife, and having a marriage that glorifies God.
I’m elated. And excited. And so so so thankful. I shared years ago on tumblr my excitement after our first date. Today, 5+ years later, I wanted to share with you guys again.
I’ll be putting up the story of our engagement on my podcast, My Strength and My Shield by the end of the day.

this site just mad depresses me, ugh I just get mentally thrown back to my shitty depressed teen years yikes
How do I get over bitterness from a past relationship and friendship. They are both rich and travel and have everything I’d want for myself in life. I’m left hurt and bitter and struggling. I don’t expect my life to get better overnight but it’s been the worst couple months like I have nothing positive going for me atm. It sucks
I get questions like this a lot and I really and truly feel so sad because I do not know the words to say to tell people to stop envying other people’s life. You have no idea who a person is or what they are going through besides what they show you. Being rich and traveling….that’s all you want? That’s enough to ruin your life? That’s enough to make you miserable? You have life and breath in your lungs. You have a new chance every day to develop your passions and make your life meaningful.
I just don’t know what to say to asks like this because I feel so sad that a person’s whole sense of self can be based off of envy. And I’m sorry hun. I’m sorry you’re in this place. It must be exhausting chasing a goal of someone else’s life, a goal you will never be able to achieve because you will NEVER have someone else’s life. Ever.
things i’m doing to benefit my hormone, fertility, and uterus health:
1- maintain a low carb lifestyle
2- swap out my pads and tampons for menstrual cups and organic/non toxic/ unbleached period products
3- eliminate items in my skin care and make up routine that have harmful chemicals
4- throw out plastic food storage containers and swap them for glass containers
5- increase the amount of water i drink through out the day (not by chugging gallons of water but by taking a sip of water every 15-20 min)
6- no more cardio work outs; instead focusing on strength training
7- drink womb tea after every cycle
8- monitor my basal temperature
9- acupuncture, sauna, and massages, at least once a month
10- daily meditation and prayer, with an emphasis on reducing anxiety and stress
these aren’t recommendations. and i’d suggest anyone who is interested in any of these things do some research to find the explanations for why i’m making these switches. and no, i’m not trying to get pregnant. it’s a shame that women are not encouraged to take care of our bodies and hormones until we’re trying to have a kid. would be great if women were encouraged to take care of their bodies for themselves, not for the benefit of some one else.
“Ew you’re a guy and like the color pink are you gay?”
I’ve been waiting for this post all my life
It’s really fucked that we allowed Hitler to set this kind of standard that has lasted until now. Do better
A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).
Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So what’s next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.
