Reset the person to their normal state!
If they were going to try gunning her down, then she’d have to do something she hadn’t in quite a long time. Without really thinking on it, her entire body became costed in the same black substance as before, giving her some ability to deflect the gunfire as she summoned forth spires to rise through the abyssal’s planes.
Pointing to her side, a trio of other ‘planes’ flew out, rapidly ascending till they were out of sight, using the normal Hellcats’ fire to distract the target. She even launched two more at the same time, hiding them further. “So the dog has tricks up her sleeve. I wonder if you can swim like that. Can you breathe? Can you drown... Hehehe!”
“Metal, different but just like... the others. Sink and become... scrap.”
“You say this like that’s the idea I have in mind for you…” It was worth noting that the wolf’s voice slowly grew colder as she spoke, coupled with her unenthused eyes morphong into a focused and predatory glare. Not that Such things mattered to an abyssal, so she simply made her point with a couple of black masses rising from the deck of her ship and jamming their way into the other’s cannons.
“No, I think killing you outright would be…a lot less fun, wouldn’t you think?”
Airfield danced around on her platform, clapping and giggling. She liked this part. “Does it feel hot to you? Everything gets so... warm when this stuff happens.” She ignored the damage to her vessel, pointing to Yoshika with her flesh hand. A rapid cloud of her ‘planes’ sprung from behind her, charging the lycan down and firing as they went. “Show us what you got.”
Joyous times with EHF
“Huh. The Abyssalism is back. Go figure. What was it that gave me away, anyway? The radar strength increase?”
“Noise, duh. Couldn’t you hear the... clickity sounds of everything loading?”
Joyous times with EHF
“Oh come on, there’s no way that you could have picked up on that! I was being subtle!” Subtle for a battleship, which is to say, not subtle at all.
“Lady, you’re about as quiet... as I am. That’s really... really saying something. I mean, come on.”
Joyous times with EHF
“Yeah, you’re not pausing after every four words. Strange, since most Princesses do.” Yes, she’s talking, but she’s also preparing her systems to fire. The guns are staying where they are but are being loaded, while the missile systems are targeting. Don’t want to lose the surprise, after all.
“Yeah, but I’m not... stuff. Don’t ask.” She can hear that you know. “Hey lady, you wouldn’t be doing what I think you’re doing, riiiiight? Because that would end badly for us. Mainly you.”
“And exactly why should I do that? There’s a hell of a lot worse on land and it’s tried its hardest to kill me in the past. I seriously doubt what you could do would be much different.” Take it from someone who started in the recieving end. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out.
“Is there really worse? That’s... dumb. You know you can’t... kill me, right? You can try, but you wont. Literally. There’s a dumb... you know, thing. That you have to do.” As she was yammering on, Airfield’s cannon rotated and pointed directly at Yoshika.
Joyous times with EHF
“Well no shit! An airfield isn’t exactly supposed to move!”
“… Then again, ships aren’t supposed to be alive.”
“And the dead aren’t supposed to talk, but look at me. I talk too much!” Look at that smile. She’s even ignoring her own speech conventions, how about that?

Missouri was just doing a fairly normal patrol 5 miles from the coast when she spotted Airfield on the horizon. “… The fuck?! She’s a goddamn installation princess, how the hell did she get this close to shore?”
“Have you seen my speed rating?” It was significantly more than zero, to put it lightly. She was a fast air platform that was for sure. “Sorry, I couldn’t help but to interject there, fair maiden. You seemed... ever so slightly perturbed by my presence.”
“Oh heavens me. Her highness doesn’t like that I think her material sucks. Whatever is a poor demon like myself to do? You got a muzzle for my ears too? They might improve your act a bit.”
“Prostrate yourself before me or die, pup.” Well that was a rapid change of personality. It appeared the princess didn’t like being talked to like that. Somewhat understandable but... still.
“Are you trying to make a point or are you just gonna quote bland jokes at me all day? I’m not exactly sure what flies for humor with pond scum, but I can’t say I’m laughing.” In fact, she was almost getting bored. She was expecting a fight or to get strangled again like the abyssal princesses of her type had attempted in the past.
“Shut up, doggy. I’m having fun. That’s all that matters right now. Be a good girl and sit there and let me say dumb stuff to you, or I’ll drown you and use your waterlogged corpse as... well I don’t know, probably the same as now. Just more boring. If you don’t have anything good to say, I may as well muzzle you, got it?”
“This coming from someone who smells like ocean floor murk. I’d say you’re scraping at the bottom of the barrel, but then again, that’s the means by which you exist, isn’t it?” She could have offered a laugh of her own in spite, but Yoshika wasn’t exactly someone to joke a lot, especially about things that were never funny in the first place. “I mean think of it this way. Better to smell like wet fur than a dead fish.”
“Gosh! The dog has bark. Why didn’t I see this coming? Oh no, this is utterly terrible, I am astounded and defeated by her wit. Or lack thereof. Kinda. I guess that was pretty decent, doggy. You earn my kudos for that, or whatever.” Airfield made a ‘mouth’ with her hand, opening and closing it over and over as she made a quiet ‘blah, blah, blah’ sound.
@contrahoignotus liked for a starter.
“Why is a mangy mutt out on the ocean? That sounds like the opening to a joke, but its not. I hope you don’t plan on being here long, I wouldn’t want a dog of that pesky Navy to stink up the place.” Each word she said sounded like Airfield was saying the funniest thing she could think of, almost laughing at the end of each sentence.
