  "Alright." Grabbing the bags that contained the food, he made some space on the coffee table before taking it out of the bag and placing it on the table.

Going ahead and sitting down on the couch, he grabbed a hamburger and unwrapped it.

He was going to punish himself tomorrow at the gym for eating fast food, but it was alright to have a treat once in a while.  He grabbed a hamburger himself and began eating as he walked over to the couch.  "How is it?"

UNCONDITIONAL [ACTUAL-YUKINA

  The feel of wet puppy saliva was odd to Yukina. It was something he was most likely going to have to get used to but due to never owning a dog before in his life, the texture of its tongue felt odd on his skin. “Baby? We’re not going to be one of those couples that treat their dog like their kids and buy it clothes are we?” If they were, he could at least get Rio to make the clothes for a cheaper price. She was always good with textiles and Yukina was almost certain she would ship some over.

"Muffin?" He wiped what was left of the wet trail off his face. Thinking it over while looking at the young pup he decided it would could work. "Sure, Muffin works."

Kiyoshi hadn't had a dog before, but had helped a lot at the animal shelter when he was younger and when his knee was put out of commission in high school.  He was used to dogs.  He laughed at the question.  "I wasn't planning on buying clothes for our dog," he said with another laugh.  God help him if he did.  

"Well.  Muffins are sweet and good for you, just like dogs are!" he argued.

UNCONDITIONAL [ACTUAL-YUKINA

  He couldn’t help but smile as the puppy moved, trying to get more attention, and managing to do just that. “We can’t name it. Once you start naming it, you’ll start becoming attached to it.” Yukina wasn’t being serious in the statement, that showed from the large grin on his face as he fluffed the pup’s fur further.

"Maybe we should call it something sweet? They are a little ball of cute after all." 

The kiss was no different to any of the others they shared, but it still sent a warm feeling to his stomach. He was truly happy here with Kiyoshi. He decided to pull his ‘who-even-knows-anymore’ closer and deepen the kiss slightly.

He pouted at that before picking up the hold the puppy so it could lick Yukina's face.  "The baby needs a name, I'm not going to kill it "puppy" for x amount of months," he argued with a pout that matched the puppy's.

"How about Muffin?" he suggested.

He couldn't help but to smile into the kiss.  Perhaps they just didn't need labels - they had each other and made each other happy - that was enough, right?

  The gentle petting of his hair made him smile. It was nice to feel the soft pads of his fingers run along his scalp. It was almost as if Teppei was brushing all the worries about the dog away. “It still worries me. I know if I was left alone for a long time I wouldn’t be able to trust that person.” He petted the dog, much like how Kiyoshi was petting him. It warmed Yukina. “Unconditionally. Somewhat like a child then?”

Feeling the kiss on his forehead Yukina could help but feel giddy about this new development. “If you’re so positive perhaps you should give me a real kiss.” Smiling he leant towards Teppei, only half way, waiting for the other to take the bait.

It was the least Kiysohi could do for his...whatever Kou was (labels and titles were weird and Kou practically lived at Kiyoshi's apartment now anyway).  He smiled a bit as he watched the puppy wiggle under Kou's hand for more pets.  "I don't think you need to worry about that," he told him honestly.  "We should probably name it."

At the teasing, Kiyoshi could only chuckle and duck his head down.  "As you wish," he told Kou before he kissed him sweetly, effectively taking the bait.

  "It’s no problem," he responded lightheartedly, or as lightheartedly as you could get while still managing to look prosaic.

Scanning his living room quickly to make sure there was no embarrassing junk lying around (there was none), Kuroko motioned for the other to come into the room. “So we’re eating first before playing?”

It sucked, but that was just how things were and his knee was shot to hell and back - had been since high school.  It was probably one of the reasons he ran away from Prava to attend school elsewhere.  He wanted to be anywhere where there was no one he knew or played basketball with.  For a while, he just wanted to forget.  

He grinned before he came into the room.  "That would probably be best.  It would suck to zone out because we get hungry."

UNCONDITIONAL [ACTUAL-YUKINA

  He wanted everything to work out with Kiyoshi and the puppy. He really did, but there was still this pool of doubt in his stomach. Nothing lasted forever after all, and it hurt far too much for him to think about getting attached to the puppy and then having to walk away from that. Thinking about finding ways to look after the pup and making sure the little one wouldn’t be on its own for too long seemed like a good idea. 

"If we could get that to work, what if it starts to resent me for never being around as much as you are?" Yukina began to stroke the pet, already noticing that he was becoming attached to it so quickly. He wanted to keep it, it would be like their child, something they could love together. The small fluffball and the two of them, it made Yukina smile.

Feeling arms wrap around him, he realised he didn’t really have anything to worry about. If Kiyoshi was going to throw him away he wouldn’t have let him stay all this time. It was silly thoughts in all reality. Feeling the peck on his cheek he removed his hand from the pet he turned his attention to his partner, placing both of his hands onto Kiyoshi’s face. 

"Are you sure?" He looked up to Teppei with some fear in his eyes. He didn’t want to sound pathetic, but when it came to the taller man he couldn’t help but feel butterflies in his stomach. He might have fallen fairly quickly, but he was never going to mention that. It wasn’t the right time and after all, they had a small fur-ball taking residence in their bed to talk about.

"Don't worry,"  Teppei told him gently as he reached up stroke Kou's hair gently and lovingly.  "Dogs only resent when they're taught to resent," he explained as he cuddled up against Kou.  "OTher then that, even if you're absent a bit, it'll love you unconditionally."  

That was just how dogs and animals were.  They didn't have reasons to hate or resent people unless they were taught to by fear and pain.  He ducked down and kissed Kou's forehead affectionately.  "I'm sure," he told him.  "One hundred percent positive."

[I forgot to tell everyone I went on hiatus.  OOPS.

Kiyoshi is on a hiatus for a bit!  Some of you know that I'm busy with the job search (I'm going on 1-2 interviews a week and filling out 8 applications a week and those things take forever) as well as getting ready to take summer courses (YAY).  And opening up my online store.

Yeah I kinda died.  

Though things are looking up!  Hopefully I'll be back in another week or so!

Haha.  Honestly anon, I don't know.  That's something that Yukina-mun and I are still talking about.  Who knows?

UNCONDITIONAL [ACTUAL-YUKINA

  Yukina could feel his heart melt at the situation. The fact that Kiyoshi had thought about the health of the puppy and how he had brought it home made his insides feel warm and fuzzy. Looking out of the window he watched as the dark clouds floated slowly and frowned. ‘So there really was no way of returning it.; 

Looking at the dog, he hesitantly went to pet it, feeling its soft fur as it sat on the bed. He could feel Kiyoshi come up beside him, attempting cuddle up beside them. It was in that moment he realises how much of a family the three of them could be. He leant into the taller’s hold, smiling at the idea, before realising it was probably far too soon into their… what even was this? There was no name for this? Were they boyfriends or just bed mates? He looked at Kiyoshi, wondering how to proceed with the situation.

"We can’t." He looked at the other sadly. "I mean, it would be great for the two of us to adopt it, but can we really do that? We’re hardly ever here, with you at work and me at collage. It wouldn’t be fair to the pup." He scratched said pup behind the ear lightly. "As much as I would love to, I don’t want to get attached to it and then… He looked towards his feet, moving slightly away from Teppei. 

"I don’t want you to throw me away if I learned to love the both of you."

Kiyoshi smiled a bit as he felt Yukina lean into him and watched the other pet the puppy that was essentially a fluffball.  He didn't know what they were to each other.  He knew that Yukina spent a good time at his apartment (he basically moved in, but he wasn't going to complain.) and they slept together in the same bed and cuddled.  Where they boyfriends or just cuddle friends?  It was confusing, but he didn't like to think too much on it or he got depressed.

 He frowned as the other told him that they couldn't keep him.  "We can work something out.  We have different hours and I'm always back before you finish classes," he pointed out.  "Maybe I could talk to work and talk them into bringing the little guy with me to work for a while."

Then he paused and looked at Yukina with those words.  "Kou..." he said quietly before he shrugged off his jacket and wrapped his arms around the other, holding him close.  "Is that what you're afraid of?" he asked quietly, keeping Kou where he was.  "I would never throw you away," he promised softly as he kissed the other's cheek.  "As weird as it sounds...I really like having you around and having you near.  It feels weird when you're not."

  He shrugged indifferently as he entered his apartment, dropping the keys on a cabinet beside the front door.

"I could always help you clean," he offered monotonously. The other seemed like a busy person and probably didn’t have time to clean his apartment.

He sighed in relief at the offer.  "Thank you," he said.  "I would really appreciate that.  Usually I can, but you know how I get when my knee acts up."  He felt like an old man whenever he said something like.  "When my knee acts up" or "whenever my knee acts up".  Ugh.

  The sheepish smile that Kiyoshi wore made all the worries that his lover had been hurt instantly wash away. Yukina knew instantly that the moment he saw the sweet smile on the other’s face there was nothing to fear. There was no pain. Everything was nice, and happy and he had nothing at all to worry about. Sighing in content, he looked at his companion.

"It’s not important, these things happen and-" that was the moment that the bundle of fur jumped up onto the bed. Yukina merely blinked at the animal for a few moments. Watching as it would wag its tail happily, and sniff its new surroundings. He could only place his head in his hand and rub at the bridge of his nose.

"I’m still asleep right? There isn’t a puppy here is there?" He glanced up to Kiyoshi still with tired eyes. Even if this hadn’t been a dream of the art students, he could hopefully pass this situation with the ‘sleep deprivation’ excuse. He couldn’t deal with something like this sprung on him this early in the morning.

It wasn’t that Yukina didn’t like dogs, it was more he didn’t like early morning surprises where he had no say in the matter. Where ever this puppy had come from, it was probably unlikely that it could be returned. After all, dogs are for life. He looked back to the dog then back towards Teppei, hoping there was a good answer for this. 'Thank goodness I'm not allergic. That would have been pretty embarrassing, almost dying half naked in his bed.'

Well.  He had hoped to ease Yukina into meeting the puppy, but the puppy had  a different idea obviously.  He watched the two carefully, suddenly slightly terrified of what his bed mate would say.  Or react.  He sighed and smiled weakly at the question.  "Sorry, Kou," he said meekly.  "That is a puppy.  They were in a box outside!" he argued with a pout.

"And it looks like it's going to rain," he continued, his pout continuing as he sat on he bed, trying to cuddle up to Yukina.  He couldn't help himself.  "Look how cute they are."  Maybe if he kept Yukina distracted with cuddles and affection, he wouldn't be angry with him.
