"What on earth is this place." The blond demon was completely confused. This wasn’t Veldime at all. And where were all the demons? And these strange creatures. She could only stare each time she saw a new one. Not to mention the one she had encountered first had taken to following her around. Not that she minded..it was…nice to have some company in a strange place. She would never admit that it reminded her of Adell.

Finally, she saw another person and thrust her finger at them. “You there! I demand that you explain this situation to me at once!" She ordered, settling her other hand on her hip. Of course, the bossy attitude had never really gone away. It probably never would. “Where is this place? And why have I been summoned here?!"

She never stopped to think the other person probably thought she was some kind of weirdo.

Taiga had been having a rather pleasant afternoon, of petting wild pokemon and picking flowers, of course, that had to be ruined by the contact of another human being. 

The girl glanced towards the person that was addressing her so rudely. Taiga thought that she looked the spoilt, bitchy type, kind of like that princess Ami. She clenched her fists and growled slightly.

"You demand? Why the hell should I explain anything to you? You should watch your tongue and talk to people with respect. You aren't a princess, people won't kneel at your feet and throw roses at you!" 

"And this is the Unova region, you should know that, seeing as you have a Pokemon...are you an idiot? Or are you just forgetful?" Taiga was aware that she was being rather mean towards the girl, but she didn't care, she hated people like that.

A New Meeting || Taiga and Miku

Taiga threw herself down on the grass beside the path on route 5, she had had no luck in achieving her goal, and actually seemed to be more lost than she was when she first ended up in this world. She stared up at the clouds and then closed her eyes.

Her brown eyes flew open when she felt a weight on her chest. Glancing forward, she realised that her Growlithe- Rin, had settled down to sleep on her chest. Taiga smiled, she wasn't surprised that the animal was tired, they had been running around for the whole day, and Rin refused to go in a Pokeball or be carried. 

She sighed and pulled herself to her feet. Holding her Growlithe in her arms she continued to walk. She caught a glimpse of blue hair within the trees and her eyes widened with excitement.

"Ryuuji?" Taiga began to sprint through the trees, when she ran straight into a low branch and fell to the floor. "Ow..." She murmured and rubbed her head as she began to stand up. Her Growlithe barked loudly, and Taiga followed it's gaze to the bluenette.

Taiga let out a sigh when she realised that the person was female. She turned away from the girl and was about to start walking when she heard a beautiful sound. Swiftly turning back, she realised that the woman singing. Her eyes and mouth widened happily, the song was so uplifting.

When the girl was finished Taiga applauded. "Wow, you're a really good singer!" Taiga paused. "Sorry if you didn't want me to hear you..." Taiga smiled and looked up at the girl, "I'm Taiga!"

  The little girl who Shauntal mowed down seemed quite angry initially, which was rather worrisome. She seemed to be the type to whale on an adversary without thought, and Shauntal was definitely not one for fist fights, even with girls who seemed to be half her size. The only muscles she had were in her fingers. Her Pokemon all drifted around their Trainer warily, willing to jump into the fray if a fight were to break out.

But even without her spectacles, Shauntal could sense the girl relax after a moment, and the Elite Four member stood and graciously took the glasses out of the other’s hand. Another smile appeared on her face once the glasses were situated comfortably on the bridge of her nose.

“Thank you! I’ll heed that advice next time,” Shauntal said cheerily, opting to not point out that it wasn’t her fault that she tripped. She extended a gloved hand out toward Taiga, a bit surprised she wasn’t challenged to a Pokemon battle. “My name is Shauntal. It’s a shame we had to meet in such a way, Taiga!”

Shauntal’s gaze drifted toward the Growlithe posed cautiously by the little girl’s side. It seemed tired but willing to jump through hoops at its Trainer’s command, and Shauntal met Taiga’s eyes once again.

“Is this Growlithe yours? Such a little cutie! Seems pretty tough, too. Fire-types aren’t really my niche, but I would make an exception for one of these,” Shauntal chattered, bending down to meet the little Pokemon at eye level. Plum, her Chandelure, floated near the other’s Pokemon as well, watching it curiously. Shauntal dug a hand into her hidden belt and reemerged with a Poffin, offering it to the Fire-type. “Here you go, little guy. Hungry?”

Taiga tilted her head with curiosity to look at the Pokemon that seemed to follow the other girl around. It was worlds different from the appearance of her Growlithe. The concept of Pokemon had been explained to her, but she had no idea that they could have so many different appearances.

"Are you suggesting that you only befriend one kind of Pokemon?" The small girl paused and glanced at Rin. "You're probably one of those trainers that wants to challenge the Pokemon Master, right?"

Taiga closely inspected the girl, "you seem like someone who would know a lot about pokemon and Unova, so I'd appreciate it if you could tell me everything..." She gestured to a bench, "I suppose it could take a long time to explain, so let's sit."

01. fresh air || open

On a usual day, Shauntal would love nothing more than to stay holed up in her little library set up at the Pokemon League and write furiously. It wasn’t often that she craved a change in scenery, but on this day she felt as though it was necessary in order for her muse to return. So, she had gathered up her pocket notebook and a few pens and set off.

Nimbasa City wasn’t exactly the place she intended to go, but that was nothing to grieve over. After all, it wasn’t as though she gave strict directions to her Drifblim on where to go; in fact, Shauntal just told her to ride the winds and settle wherever she felt. Red flats clattered on the cobblestone below as Shauntal dismounted the Drifblim, who seemed rather enamored with the bustling city. 

“Very good, Nimbus. Thank you!”

Nimbus blinked happily in her Trainer’s direction and then turned her attention back to the many passerby going on their merry way. Reaching into her belt, Shauntal pulled out two gleaming Pokeballs and sent out Plum and Willow, her Chandelure and Froslass. She would have liked to let her entire team out to see the sights, but the other three were rather large, and it would be cumbersome to walk about the city with them.

Shauntal smiled at her Pokemon and turned on her heel to go towards the amusement park, thinking that she might as well say hello to Elesa while they were in town. Only a few steps were taken before the Elite Four member stumbled over a renegade stone and took a graceful tumble right into an unsuspecting victim, who just so happened to be in her line of fire.

Plum hovered and circled her fallen Trainer, concern evident in her body language and questioning cries. Shauntal let out a wheeze and then a strained laugh as she hurriedly sat up and sidled away from the person she ran into. Willow and Nimbus, in the meantime, eyed the stranger warily, as though it was their fault Shauntal lost her balance.

“Oh— oh dear! I’m very sorry about this!” the master Ghost-type Trainer squeaked apologetically, a light and embarrassed blush spreading across her pale face. “Guess I haven’t gotten used to walking yet, ahah!”

Here Shauntal paused and blinked violet eyes, wondering how she should word what she needed to ask of the blurry stranger. An apologetic smile worked its way up the corners of her thin mouth.

“Say, could you possibly find my glasses for me? I seem to have lost them from the impact…”

Taiga walked out of the fair ground feeling rather worn down, she had had a rather long and tiring day, and wanted nothing more than to go and relax. She glanced to her Growlithe- Rin, who seemed to be dragging her tail due to exhaustion.

"I don't see why all of those people wanted to see me perform Kendo, its not like its a difficult and unique thing, you can normally identify lots of people who know how to do it...and in this city of freaks, apparently I'm the only one..." She sighed. "We won't be going back there again, that was way too much effort."

She stopped walking and smiled at Rin, "how about we get some ice-cream and call it a day?" Rin nodded happily, causing a smile to cross Taiga's face. She was about to continue walking when she was knocked down by a running girl.

Taiga quickly pulled herself to her feet and clenched her fists. "Hey! What do you think you're doing? Running into me like that?" Rin was also tensed, ready to attack at her owner's command.

Taiga then relaxed slightly at the sight of the girl on the floor, with an extremely apologetic look on their face. Taiga sighed. "Its fine..." She mumbled, "just watch where you're going next time..."

She then knelt to the floor and picked up the girl's glasses. "Here." These are yours, right?" She asked with a slight smile. "I'm Taiga by the way."

This isn't my house || Closed Opening Post

Taiga's eyes opened, but just a little too late, as she was unable to prevent herself tripping over something and falling to the ground. Lying on the grass for a moment, she scratched her aching head and slowly sat up, examining her surroundings. That's when she heard a whimpering sound.

Looking at the floor, she noticied that the 'rock' that she had tripped on, was actually some kind of creature. As the animal climbed up onto its feet, she noticed that it was a small, tiger-looking thing. Her eyes widened slightly, how ironic, it was a palmtop tiger.

"Urm, are you o-okay?" She stuttered slightly, worried about the creature, but also afraid that it might be hostile. Don't be stupid Taiga, its not going to answer you, its an animal for gods sake. She continued to sit by the animal, until she began to lose patience. 

Letting out a sigh, she picked up the creature and began to walk. Thats when realisation struck the girl- She had no idea where she was. Looking around she began to panic, this place didn't look like anywhere that was near to her house.

"It probably just a bad dream..." She murmured. "Ryuuji's healthy cooking always gives me bad dreams..."  She closed her eyes and then pointed north. "I suppose I'll go that way." She looked at the creature. "Is that okay...urm...?" Taiga thought for a second trying to figure out what to call it. "Rin?" The creature seemed to emit a small smile, indicating that it approved of the name.

Taiga walked for at least an hour before sighting a city in front of her. The sign nearby stated- 'Nimbasa City'. Taiga had never heard of that place, but if it was a city as the sign suggested, then someone would be able to tell her where she was and be able to look after Rin.
