How do you explain Hades? How?
He walks behind you, catches you when you stumble. He comforts and guides, watches like a father over his lost child. He is who I turn to when I am confused, when my mind is chaos and my heart is broken. His anger is slow, but cold, sending shivers down your spine. When you first work with him you are cautious, because you wonder, “who is this God?” And he shows you. You have plants where there were no plants, his name is study in your heart, you can’t help but defend him when someone calls him ruthless and cold. I’ve found that dogs, they smell him on you from the nights where he enveloped you. During spring he is sad, but somehow finds a way to still be there for you. He is loyal and strong and gentle and loving and he will fill that whole in your heart. He’s a mentor that is never wrong and pushes you in the right direction, if you let him. If not he just watches you go off the wrong path, and come crying back to him. When you go into the deep with him he won’t let you drown, he knows when to pull you back from the crevice if you aren’t ready, he knows how far you can go. He listens and speaks and his candle flickers when you laugh, just as your heart flutters when you hear him saying “come,” and as he leads you through your dreams. But he does get mad, and then you feel like crying, because he is slow to anger, and you hate the coldness that happens when he leaves you, but he’s still there, watching. He is Hades, God of the Underworld and Lord of riches. He is just and he is wonderfully perfect. He knows you are mortal and adopts you into his home. He is Hades, perfectly imperfect and loving like nobody else. He will accept you he doesn’t care. Just love him and worship him and adore him. He loves to be personal, he does. For me, I can feel him smiling, I can hear his footsteps as he walks with me, I can feel the brush of his skin and I can hear his loving voice as he talks to me at night when I can’t sleep.
Long Live the one of Many Names, Hades.
