Why is Industrial Craft banned?

Industrial Craft and Industrialcraft 2 have been banned as they are hefty, old, and not compatible with many of the mods when in game itself.This being said you might ask “So why is it in the pack?”Simple answer to that is I tried my damnedest to remove it and failed as about 15 other older mods that people really wanted required it as its base.

This means instead of removing it, I have stopped it from generating things in world and am banning any items from being made from it essentially removing it from game play. It is too hefty and old. If you are an ajco member this means you cant use it please, I will be watching. If you are not and are just using the pack, go ahead and use it on your own server I guess.

Server now LIVE!

Please remember to be curtious to those building and check if there are others around you before building. If you are part of castle or katton please speak to nights about block limitations to prevent lag. Once entering the server please run the command /warp spawn once as spawn you may warp to any of the locations already marked out On the map. 

You have the ability to change into creative mode to build as said by finding the sign in spawn and right clicking it. To use any of the help and warp signs all you need to do is rightclick.

You can do /warp spawn anywhere in the world.

If you downloaded the new pack you already have the IP address in the pack. If you cannot access it because of White-list please contact Nights.

Hello everyone,

I regret to inform you that any schematics of builds you where hoping to use for the new pack will not be allowed. Please remember to take screenshots of builds to ensure you can replicate them. Hey! So I know the world change/ modpack update is soon but because of work and very limited free time, I don't have the time to take screenshots and stuff of my island and clinic - is there some way someone might be able to help me out?

I know of your clinic but is the island the part next to the clinic or in an entirely different place? Regarding the new map, I know some areas have been claimed already. Will there be a map available with marks to show where has already been claimed so that conflicts are less likely to arise? :x

once the main factions claim their areas (we’re still fidgeting that out), we’ll probably produce a shiny map for you to arrange around. for now, find a few places you like in the worldfile that’s pre-installed in your pack! that’s the worldfile the server will be using.

We now have possible locations for the Largest build with the most dense populations in them.  The castle and katton are confirmed for the western selection but the others have not confirmed. Updates on map claims to be continued.

New Server Map

This map has been chosen for its cluster of biomes and land space. If you have downloaded the pack you will have noticed this world file in your single-player directory already for you to look around in. [HERE] is the link to the full map in full resolution. The pink line within the map shows the canon building area, due to new restrictions we ask only canon builds be made here, outside the line you are able to build anything you please and a warp point will be assigned to it if you require it. If faction heads have spotted a place they wish to reserve for their main faction area please let 42nights know. She will be able to help set up buffer zones to ensure builds are not to close together once we move. Happy planning!

It comes with the IP installed, the world that we will be using for the new world in singleplayer, Chatlog and optifine already installed. Unlike the current pack, if this pack asks you to update it PLEASE UPDATE IT. it means we have made important changes to the pack.

Server Move and Preparation

Hi there! The server transition has been rather rough for turning the mod-pack into server compatible. Therefor I would like now to start the process of switching over the server now. Here’s the plan so your all in the loop:

Step 1: 

Schematic all builds needed and allow all players to take screenshots of builds to ensure they are able to rebuild properly on the other server. (Canonically we will not be moving worlds so this will mean some sets will need to re rebuilt entirely or moved over. however World edit is not a stable solution and cannot be guaranteed at this time.)

Step 2:

Server will be shut down for a few weeks to ensure world setup and spawn is arranged for all. This is the part you don’t have to worry about, that’s my job. In the meantime, use Skype or docs to do RPs.

Step 3:

We will be doing a whitelist wipe to ensure our whitelist is up to date as well as accept new server applications. I understand some current players are also inactive but considering rejoining. If this is the case please still fill out the form to ensure you are still white-listed for when you rejoin us.

Please fill out >THIS< form when you have the time.

Step 4:

The world will be open and to be viewed in creative mode for ALL players to ensure you have a location suitable for your canon builds. There will be no change in the canon world so some have decided to “move” canonically to accommodate and some have decided to just rebuild. All players will have creative mode for the duration of the set building. World Edit will be available on request if you require a biome change or world altering on a larger scale (used by admins for you.) in this time as well. More info and rules for this stage will come out before it is released.

Discord Server!

We all know skype is great, but we also know its a crashy CPU hog. Discord has offered a solution that I think would be a fantastic way to bring together the community. It has an app, browser addition, and Program comparable with all platforms. Please have a look at the new [AJCO discord server], no account required. Once getting on you will be arrange by faction so you may access your factions chat. other factions cant access your chats or channels so don't worry about talking there. In addition to faction chats there is the Dinner and Library chat and channels. We ask that the Library ones be kept slower and quieter for thoughs that do not like to be overwhelmed. This will also allow people who are not normally able to talk to ajco members to hop in and talk or chat in the main chats, however will not have access to any  other of the channels or chats. (Yes this means fans or people with questions can come on and ask them personally here. Please remember to be respectful or you will be banned.)

AJCO Trigger Warnings

Hey folks!

The AJCO world has a variety of different stories being told within its borders, and while being a bit dreadful is rather a major element, we want everyone to be as comfortable as possible with the content created. Things can get very dark, very quickly, so I have set up a way to collect trigger warnings that have been requested by the community, or are just good practise to use.

These are listed on the wiki here.

To submit entries, so no one feels awkward, I have set up a Google Spreadsheet that can be anonymously edited here.  If there are any missing, or any additions you think need to go on, do add them in. I will then transfer them to the wiki.

Please use this list as a reference when thinking what to tag your RPs, fics, or art. If you have any elements planned in a Minecraft RP that is likely to include any of these themes, please indicate before the [start] so that anyone not comfortable with them has time to leave.

If you feel that something needs to be tagged, and isn’t, please do check with the admins or the players, as oversights or accidental squick is easy to tag or edit!

Note: ‘Specific Injury’ is a sub-category of specifically-requested things to tag. These can come under broader warnings, but have been specifically highlighted as a concern for a player.

RP note: the tumblr app is a big POS, and because of that, names in spoken lines in rp will probably be rectified during editing from <NAME> to [NAME] (or <[NAME]>).

(the long of it is, the tumblr app specifically (android/ios) (but not mobile browser, or desktop) is seeing the <> around a name and going ‘oh! this must be html! let’s make it html. oh there’s no closing bracket, guess it’s not gonna resolve!’ and then hiding it. so rps like

* name1 looks away <name1> i fucked up <name2> yes, yes you did

are showing like

* name1 looks away i fucked up yes, yes you did

which is incredibly confusing to read in a multi-player rp. so, effective from now, rps will be edited so we can see who’s saying what)
