This was actually put together in spite of the event I have to go to tomorrow regarding my dad's fraternity brotherhood thing, where we have to dress in black. Ridiculous. But luckily, I don't mind wearing Little Black Dresses. Especially when paired with accents of color, like the pink seen here.
I think the negative side of little black dresses is that young girls who wear LBD's tend to dress up much older than they are. Which is fine for some events, but it's important to stick to the youthfulness of their age. Because when you're 40, you can't wear an LBD with pink accents.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is... if you're young, don't dress older than you are. You can still look classy and appropriate if you style your LBD in a fun fashion like this.

I posted one for bow tie’s. It’s only right.
I always wanted to know how to tie one of these.

I always say that when I have kids, I’d like to have a girl so i can dress her up. haha, so here’s my future child :O) She’ll have the same swag that Siri Cruise has, but she’ll wear them better.

Inspiration Story #005: The Carrie Diaries ~ This week is pretty much dedicated to the CW's new show, The Carrie Diaries. Here's just a little something I put together on my take of young Carrie Bradshaw's style. Of course, I modernized it a little bit, but I just wanted to translate 80's style into more wearable clothes for today's woman.
In the show, Carrie Bradshaw favored her mother's old clothes that were chic and elegant, which emphasizes vintage trends with that of the 80's era, which I find very inspiring because it's such a resourceful technique to use when it comes to developing your own style: mixing vintage pieces with modern clothes that are much wearable. Carrie Bradshaw's utilization of this technique teaches many to stay creative when it comes to dressing up even if you don't have a lot of clothes to choose from, which is something all girls should keep in mind.
So, Stay Creative, and Dress Confidently! -angelinejane

STYLE REPORT 002: The Carrie Diaries, CW
So last night was the premiere of The Carrie Diaries, which is a prequel of Carrie Bradshaw's storyline in Sex and the City. I was looking forward to this show because of two reasons: I loved the Sex and the City series, and I love shows that put an emphasis on fashion (Jane by Design, Gossip Girl). The story is set in 1984 when Carrie Bradshaw is just a 16-year-old high school girl, so the fashion is automatically expected to be that of crazy 80's clothes. Many people had reservations in regards to the attire of Carrie Bradshaw before the show aired last night. I remember watching E!'s Fashion Police a few days ago, and they were furious that the pictures that were released during the filming process showed no relation to 80's fashion. However, when I was watching the show, I actually thought the wardrobe of the young Carrie Bradshaw was something that Carrie Bradshaw would wear. They weren't necessarily within the realm of hardcore 80's styles, but I felt that the costume designer did a great job of designing outfits that Carrie Bradshaw would have worn.
I know a lot of people will have their complaints about this show, especially the clothing, but I don't care. I really hope that the costume designers of this show continue to keep it up with how they're styling the young Carrie Bradshaw, because I think they're doing a fantastic job interpreting that style, the era, and keeping those factors within the story.
Here's to the Carrie Diaries!

STYLE REPORT: 001 The Golden Globes 2013
In case you didn't know, I am a HUGE fan of award shows. My favorite part is always the beginning pre-shows when all the celebrities walk down the red carpet and show off their gowns for the evening. During this year's Golden Globes, there weren't that many gowns that stood out to me. However, two celebrities did stand out to me on the red carpet: Claire Danes & Kelly Osbourne.
Claire Danes was nominated this evening for her performance in the TV series, Homeland. Claire Danes usually wears pretty simple gowns like the one seen here, and it probably doesn't really stand out much, but trust me. When she first came on the red carpet during the E! Network's pre-show, I loved how put together she looked in this red carpet red Versace gown. She revealed that she didn't even try the dress on until the night before the award show. I don't know... this dress was just perfect and was so appropriate for the occasion, with the Golden Globes being the first award show of the year and all.
Kelly Osbourne's Zac Posen gown this evening was to die for. What I loved most about this gown is the angles of the mermaid on the bottom. It sort of pops out a little as the dress angles down to the mermaid shape which is so different. Kelly usually wears edgy outfits during Fashion Police and what not, but I loved how she kept her look very feminine with just a touch of edginess in the angle of her gown. The dress sort of washes her out just a bit, but I felt that her ensemble this evening looked phenomenal. And she looked great.
Can't wait for the next award show! Stay tuned :O)
