Restaurant imitation recipes simply refers to recipes that are imitative of those at a restaurant. Imitation is defined as anything that looks or copies the original or genuine item. Copying or trying to imitate an original source speaks volumes about the source's credibility and the quality of its work. It would be foolish to try and copy or imitate it if it wasn't of high quality. Although imitation of any thing is flattery, not all imitations are flattering.
Food can be boring because the basic forms of food are almost the same. While there may be some variations, and sometimes they are highly promoted as an advantage, the basic forms of food are the same. It is how these are prepared and served that makes the difference. These recipes have been passed down from generation to generation using basic preparation methods such as the oven, skillet, grill, and boiling pots. These basic ingredients can be enhanced with the addition of new spices, sauces, and marinades. This has been and will be a goal for many people, and restaurants as well to set their food apart.
Although this may seem silly, it highlights the points made above. Growing up, the taste of cauliflower was something I couldn't stand. This Akasha Restaurant food was not necessary to my life. Their sole purpose is to sell as many of their items as possible in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Many of these restaurants have spent a lot of time developing their signature recipes, techniques, and themes. To keep customers coming back, they spend millions advertising their uniqueness. Restaurants are a very competitive business.

According to the National Restaurant Association (NRA), the industry will reach $604 billion in 2011 sales. This is approximately $1.7 billion per day. There are approximately 960,000 locations across the country that employ around 12.8 million people. That is serious cabbage, I don't know if you. It also shows that restaurants are a trusted authority, and people will go to great lengths to copy or imitate a recipe.
This same description would apply to any restaurant, whether it is a favorite or a new one. The restaurant will discover a new way to cook a particular dish or combine different seasonings and sauces. They work hard to make the discovery and put in the effort and time necessary to test the new recipe over and over again until it is perfected. To let the public, know that the restaurant has a new recipe, they may advertise it. It should be a huge success and become a regular item on the restaurant's menu. The restaurant can generate additional revenue if the public enjoys it. It could be a featured recipe for a start-up that helps them get started and keep them there.
Restaurants can be thought of as the greatest copycat artists, even though they may not use the exact same dish name. However, they will make it stand out by adding their unique touch to it and what else might be added to it to set it apart from other dishes. Restaurants basically follow each other's operating model, down to the inclusion of similar items on their menus. They keep an eye on each other to find out what works well. In order to serve current customers, they may alter a menu or change the cost of service to attract new customers. It's a constant battle.
These restaurants may be copying each other and competing for our money, but they are clearly the benchmark to which we compare our favorite food. They push each other to develop new recipes, techniques, and signature menus that keep people coming back for more. Each person has their favorite menu items. While some may choose one particular restaurant for an appetizer or entree, others will be able to recognize the quality of all the other restaurants.
A note: Businesses, especially non-restaurants, must take the initiative to get licenses or patents for their inventions to protect them against being copied. It is more challenging for restaurants as licensing and obtaining patents on food is not as easy as it is for I-pads or other technological advances. Restaurants might need legal help and agreements with employees in order to protect their secrets should an employee leave. Some cases have seen a chef or cook leave to open a new restaurant that uses the same signature methods, but calls it something else. This can lead to more money being spent to fix it.
Many others have attempted to replicate a restaurant's recipe using grocery store food suppliers. Most people would say it is not easy to replicate a restaurant recipe. Some people come up with similar recipes, but they lack the signature taste of a particular restaurant. You know how frustrating it is to try to replicate the restaurant's cuisine but get a different flavor. It was something I did, and while it looked great, the final result was only a 6. It seems impossible to get a 9 or 10, so it is better to just give up and go to the restaurant.

Many of these people need to be focused, dedicated and determined in order to succeed. Some people are great cooks, and can use their intuition and experience to find the perfect restaurant recipe. Although I'm able to follow a recipe and have some cooking experience, I am not a restaurant chef. It is difficult to duplicate or imitate a genuine article that has been successful. Why would others attempt to imitate it then?
Sometimes it is related to money or someone wanting to join the action. Some will do it just to save money. Others may try to improve the existing. You may do it for notoriety, pride or even for some fun. This is how comedians can make more laughs by imitating others. They will be more popular if they can do it well.
As with many other items, there are always interested people who want to make things. These people will try to replicate the recipes of all these restaurants. If one were to interview many DIY (Do It Yourself), people would do so primarily to save money. Remember that 49% of all dollar spent on food goes to the restaurant industry. This is a lot of money that can be saved!
These restaurant imitators were either made from money or spent. When I looked at our family's spending habits, I was shocked to see the difference between grocery shopping and dining out. We have become very fond of dining out, and it has led to a lot of expense. This is how I and my family started to see the lightbulb flickering.

Although we didn't receive the recipe, we did get a lot of sauce to take home. It pays to ask. You never know what you might get.

It's a lot of work, but it helped me to fulfill my quest. Many websites recommend the same original source (recipe hackers), of imitation or copycat recipes. This is, in my opinion, a good place to start.
Everybody has a story to tell about their experiences and discoveries, and the reasons they made them. They often go further and market their efforts to make additional income. You may have a friend or family member who cheers you on. But if the effort is well done and quality is high, it can often attract enough attention to be worth it. There are many others with similar interests. This is a win-win situation for everyone. It can also spur more ideas and experiences from other people who are interested.
You have to get to know it, just like with any other thing. I've been impressed by some of these imitator restaurant recipes. It has been great fun and I have learned a lot more than I thought. None of the "700 free restaurant recipes" sources on the internet have I tried. Although they may be okay, I have found that there should be a cost for making them available. They don't necessarily have to be costly. They are about the same price as a nice meal for two. You can also get additional information such as how to make wine or grow your own herbs, if you're interested. Some of the recipes included in these books are truly amazing. You should always take the time to read through any product before you make a purchase. But once you have done that, enjoy some fun and expect to be surprised at the results.
