So my husband had played and finished up Dispatch and got inspired to take some characters and put them through the lens of Dispatch. This led to him ask me if he could do a version of my rainbow based villain. A character that been through some reworks in the background since the short lived Wild Talents (he had thought it came from FATE) game where he originated from. It was kinda funny what came out as differences between the two flavors of the same person.

This also marks a first time for the character to be done digitally as I'm use to drawing a lot of things traditionally and been slowly trying to hop back onto the digital horse.

Ah so for the few folks I think that look over here might wondering oh goodness you're alive? You haven't posted here in like 2yrs what up? Well lot of it was due to irl and probably undiagonosed ADHD where I just drop off the face of the earth on projects from time to time and maybe come back if I orbit close enough again to things. In the meantime I did set up a Bluesky and trying to be active there. It does mean some cross posts might happen over here to sorta sync these two spaces a bit more. Also This past Christmas I was given a tab 9 FE+ which that where the majority of the work on these two pieces were on. Still fiddling around to find a workflow set up that makes sense since on the tablet I got Krita and Infinite Painter set up on there cause like most art apps are subscription based and I'm not dealing with that.

Anyway the art itself is the dark skin Tiefling is an NPC my players in my City game I've been running since late last year had recently met. This NPC is named Curate Umbral and his title means he is the assistant to the High Priestess of one of the temples in the city. The other is current first time playing a Pathfinder 2e character named Kriskrex Scalerider. This is the 2nd time attempting to play him as the first time was a very short lived Pathfinder 1e attempt. Gm was okay with me importing him over and converting up to 2e as I was still wanting to try an play an Oracle. This 2e incarnation did have some changes to backstory but I was okay with that given we didn't get very far in the 1e game. This second attempt to play him is in a run of Abomination Vaults.

So from the 2020 period of my sketchbooks I found one of the few times I tried to set a scene up with a proper background!

The one and only time I've played a wizard so far for 5th ed dnd, Dolli, was who I ran for when my group did Descent into Avernus. A halfling Divination wizard who ended up as party face cause I channeled my inner Karen for how to play up her noble background. Her familiar was an owl named Fluffins. I adored Fluffins but boy did that campaign give just about everyone emotional damage. Mind you some of the group eat that shit up for breakfast but still. Actually found one of my pencil before inking drawings to pair with final image. In this case this was my dragonborn bard, Zorprax, who was my stand-in for a different OC of mine but had their differences. Was playing a valor bard with this guy but he very much was a middle manager kind of guy.

I actually had made his mini by hand as my first and only attempt with sculpey clay. Happen to find my pics of before attaching mini to the base I also made:

So my husband has posted several comics that involve the race I ended up running when I attempted Stellaris. I have yet to get to a game win cause it gets so complicated real fast compared to Civ games. I'm woefully behind on DLC for Stellaris so most of my little shroom guys (known as the Gorf Gorf) are simply another empire in my husband's games as he made a point to make a copy of the Gorfs so he could have them in his games.

The Gorf Gorf are a hedonistic Oligarchy empire that employs caterpillar aliens known as Shrek (it was a dumb at the time haha funny name that just stuck after changing what game gave as a name for the Syncretic Evolution race) as servants (among other things). The Gorf are fanatical spiritualists who worship the Great Gorf.

Fun fact: Since Gorfs mainly communicate in spores they usually need devices to translate these into speech. These devices come in a few forms such as below:

Ebony Wolfbane is a Gorf I played as for a Fate rpg game set in space. From streamer to spy they navigate the stars via their modified mobility rig of a chair and computer that has an on board AI named Archie. I had made this character with a running set of gags or puns to mystery novel detective Nero Wolfe. They acted as the party's main tech/hacker of the group using their gamer skills when needed.

So if I remember right the time between these two was roughly when they corrected his skin tone in game to be a bit better evident racially. I never grow tired of the body piece of Anger Management outfit or as I call it 'the strawberry pimp fit'. It's a good fall back body piece if shuffling out of what I go going on now for him.

I hated trying to draw the details of this jacket so much but I really clicked playing Trickster when he came out. This is the usual go to outfit set up for when I play him and a few times this has led to people mistaking me from a distance to be a survivor.

So from the depths of 2020 is actually majority of fanart I did for dbd when I first had it as a massive brainrot. It still is a rot just more calmed these days. I know these are old due to the Doc pic was from a bit before they changed the prestige/grade system. I have more but wanted to show at least the earliest set of art I had from the major brainrot period.

So got dragged into a contest thing on NewGrounds related to Cult of the Lamb. A game that I still not returned to in a bit due to other life things but for the time I did play it is so cute and while it is trying to straddle two different types of games just enough I find it enjoyable so far.

So the leader/bishopy thing is a take on a character of mine who I normally associate with frogs. In this CotL!version he brings the way of the doll. A common practice is to give a bit of flesh to in turn become fabric or a button for an eye. He himself can see through the jewels that are his eyes through the power of the force that drives the cult type thing. This is legit like my first full digital drawing in like a year but also have the sketch part of it:

So through the gw2 tag someone found an ai art website/application that seemed cool so finally got around to poking around in there myself. I totally understand how they got so lost in it. Like there are a number of filters that if the same prompt is placed on different filters the filters really throw the end images in very different directions. I.e: Stormwatch City and The Storm use the same prompt but different filters.

So my love of rogues in DnD had been why I have a character that draws from the Shadowdancer subclass (3.x edition ). I was told it was a dull subclass in the sense that all the rogues do this don’t be that person. It didn’t stop my interest. Yet I wanted an actual interaction with shadows which is barely used in the actual class mechanics. So for Jayden his shadow for my setting is his literal shadow awakened but mechanically is in line of shadows minus means of making more shadows. This does mean when active Jayden doesn’t cast a shadow.

So this was done a bit after I first gave it a few shots last year. Yes we made all efforts to hook up with the computer when the DLC came out before I actually knew who voiced it.

Pair of 5e characters I ran for when my usual group did a round robin gm style via a guild setting. The first one I made is Benevolence a celestial warlock who accidentally became a sniper (left). The second actually snagged from my own gming notes of making one of the NPC’s sons a character who is usually doing military assignments (he was my I wanted a break from healer) a simple fighter named Hayden.

Hello been a while since I last posted to this blog but now the fun part is trying not to just throw up all the back log at once. So while not a hard and fast challenge of post a day I see what I can do to be a bit more active on this little side blog. Anyways, sometimes I just straight up just draw a random guy. Usually mage type of guys-this time ended up with a more clergy type so I wanted to play that up. Hence to usage of rendering a mild form of iconography with a bit of art deco to put a twist in it.
