He was still glaring after the man who had tipped him almost nothing, taking a deep breath before he turned his attention to his newest customer. “Yes ma’am, White Ray Whiskey coming right up.” he said in as neutral a tone as he could manage. She hadn’t given him a reason to hate her just yet. He placed her drink before her and grinned. “Well, the usual, assholes not tipping, nothing new.”

“Cheers. How about I buy you a drink? Is that against the rules?” Akemi shrugged her shoulders slowly. “People are assholes unfortunately, I’ll double my tip. It’s only fair. How else do they expect you to get along in this economy?” She realized she sounded more like a mother, than the man probably wanted. However, there was no going back on her words now.

“People need to learn to tip better.” Sirius grumbled as he counted the money his previous customer had left him. “How may I help you.” he said to the unsuspecting person who was walking towards him, letting his bad mood reflect in his words even though the other had done nothing to piss him off – yet.

Akemi admittedly didn’t have much time to spare between the Ministry & the orphanage, but sometimes she needed a drink before she started her shift as an Unspeakable. She placed her purse down on the counter and eyed Sirius thoughtfully, “Give me the strongest thing you have. How is your day...scratch that, night going?” The boy had to be around the same age as her son, but as long as he could fix a drink she would have no issues.

I saw AKEMI CHANG in Diagon Alley, but at first I mistook HER for CONSTANCE WU. The 40 Year-Old was in RAVENCLAW at Hogwarts, right? Now I think they are a MATRON AT DIAGON ORPHANAGE/UNSPEAKABLE. When it comes to the war the HALFBLOOD is NEUTRAL. I always liked that they were NURTURING and INDEPENDENT, but they always seemed WITHDRAWN and STRICT, which is unfortunate.

Akemi was born to a muggle & a pureblood squib that had been disowned. Her father never spoke about the wizarding world, and her muggle mother was ignorant of it. When she was around four she started to show small signs of being enlightened. Her father chose to ignore the signs until the OWL came for his daughter. Then he would need to come clean about her heritage. All throughout her schooling she was considered a muggleborn, because her father was shunned from the magical world. Her father’s family reached out to her once she successfully graduated Hogwarts. With the Lins now invested in her future, she was betrothed and did marry a friend she had made in Hogwarts her fifth year. ‘To purify the blood once more’ was their reasoning. Chang & her would go on to have a few children biologically, and adopt a few from the Orphanage she helped manage. Once the dark lord started to rise she remained grounded in her neutral standpoint. Mainly because she didn’t want to fight, she wanted to protect her children, but do it with a pacifist mindset.
