this blog is dedicated to the archive of our own fanfiction series, the tale of akina murasame, a kakashi hatake x original female character story published by @likeholymary

the first installation, headlock, is set during the naruto canon timeline and spans from the original series through shippuden.

the sequel, can’t take it in, is set directly after the events of the fourth great shinobi war and is a slice of life, domestic fluff fic!

It's been a little while. You doing okay? If you've gotten writers block, fear not. It may be a mountain but you will conquer it. If life has taken over that's completely understandable, too. There are more important things than fandoms and fics. Life happens, and writing a beast like Headlock takes a toll. I do hope you haven't lost hope though and wish you all the best. I'm patiently, but eagerly, waiting to read more of your work regardless. The story you create is so worth the wait! I hope to see Akina and Kakashi reunited soon! Or even some domestic fluff from the sequel if thats easier for you! Wishing you the best! 🤍💙🤍

BABES😭 this has been sitting in my ask box for so long and i feel so bad for not responding!

life got a little hectic recently❤️‍🩹 a family member of mine passed in late august and it deeply upset the dynamic of life for my family and so i’ve been going through a lot of adjustments! i also started a new job a week after, so that on top of figuring out a lot of stuff has been really taxing😭

i’m just rereading headlock now and getting back into the grove of writing! i’m hoping to update soon, but honestly i can’t make any promises😭 the reason i was able to update headlock so much before was because i had no job and too much free time when i wasn’t applying for jobs lol

but! hopefully updates are on their way! it’s also taken me awhile to update because i want to be true and authentic to akina and her story and this next chapter is going to be HEAVY and hopeful and just all the emotions because our girl is going to get out and reunite with kakashi🥺

seriously though, thank you for all the love and support! i’ve watched all the comments that get added to headlock and i am just blown away constantly by all the love that this fic has gotten, so thank you thank you😭 truly i wouldn’t be able to do it without support from y’all; you don’t know how much it means to me to get appreciation on this fic! so just a big thank you from me to all of you!

side note i legit have no idea how the hits keep going up so much on headlock😭 where is this fic even getting shared?? idk how because it’s not even easy to find on ao3 and yet everyday the hits be going up by like 10-20+😭 imma need one of you to confess if there’s a discord group or something where she’s getting shared, because i want to send my thanks😭 i check ao3 every day and seeing those numbers go up really makes me feel so honored, especially if people are coming back and rereading it🥺 i just love you guys😭
