pairing: heian!sukuna & heian!reader
summary: ryomen sukuna, the king of curses, challenges someone to a battle of power to see who is stronger. who knows, maybe after 271 years, he will finally find someone as strong as him.
after utterly destroying a village in upper kyoto, you lay down in a green wheat field to rest. the last remaining fragment of humanity within you had finally surrendered. you felt relieved, as if a massive barrier had been lifted from your shoulders. there was no longer any factor that could limit the bond between you and the cursed energy in nature. you were one with the cursed energy you felt around you; you now truly understood how it felt and what it felt like. this sensation made you drunk. in your 121 years of life, you had been drunk many times, but this was something entirely different. all your cells felt both numb and hyper-alert at the same time. the sun illuminating your body caressed your skin. you felt deeply peaceful.
however, all at once, you felt an unexpected shift in cursed energy. it felt suffocating, making you feel as though you had to take immediate action. you quickly sat up and traced the shift in energy. it didn't take long to find the source.
"a man, how strange," you thought. as you tried to examine him a bit more closely, your eyes locked with his.
both of you flinched instinctively. you had to be aware of the danger; while comparing power might have been difficult, you both knew that the person across from you was strong enough to wipe a country off the map with a single move. at least, the intense surge of cursed energy made that much clear.
âyouâŚ?â slipped from your lips. someone had to break the silence.
âyouâre like me, woman,â the man said, in a voice as deep as you would expect from his build.
âwe look alikeâŚâ she murmured, her eyes narrowing âwho are you?â
âi am ryomen sukuna. tell me, woman, who are you?â
âi am âŚâŚ and one more question, man. what exactly are you?â
âi donât know. maybe the king of curses, the disgraced one, or the strongest sorcerer alive.â
ânow thatâs a lie. i am the strongest sorcerer alive.â
sukunaâs eyes gleamed with sudden, deadly amusement. âoh really? try me, woman.â
after the unexpected invitation, you took your positions in the green wheat field. he was strongâunbelievably so. but you were no slouch either. after a while, you could see that he was struggling too. with attack after attack, you were slowly wearing each other down. storing or burning through cursed energy wasn't an issue for youâafter all, you were born with infinite cursed energy. the real problem was the incredible damage he was inflicting on your body, and the fact that this damage forced you to constantly switch back and forth between reverse cursed technique and cursed technique. it was exhausting, but not unbearable.
you could tell he was struggling just as much. against your infinite cursed energy, his own reserves were falling short. on top of that, the attacks you made to his reserves were steadily weakening him. however, what worked in his favor was his raw physical strength. his massive build, combined with his technique, inflicted deep wounds on your body, forcing you into that constant cycle of switching techniques.
some legends say seven days, while others say a month, but you fought for a long time. your overwhelming powerâineffective against each otherâwas destroying everything around you except the two of you. honestly, you didn't care all that much, but you were starting to get bored.
âhey, ryomen! should we stop now?â you yelled while getting ready for a new attack.
âyeah, woman. maybe. this shit is starting to bore me.â
surprising as it was, you kept your word. you stopped fighting and were now standing across from each other. in truth, you were quite similar: four arms, more than two eyes, tattoos, incredible power dynamics, and so on. getting tired of the staring at each other, you threw yourself onto the groundâonto what had once been a green field of grass. his eyes followed your movement. after a short while, he lay down next to you as well.
âso, man... would you like to tell me about yourself?â
yeah i love writing strong woman!!!

lazy saturday mornings ⚠࣪ Ë âď¸
pairing: husband!sukuna & wife!reader, heian era!
summary: sukuna, the king of the curses, and his loving wife, the queen of the cursed energy, spends a lazy saturday morning together!
"what a beautiful morning," you thought to yourself. the morning breeze caressed your skin as you combed your hair. your long, white hair reached all the way down to your knees. it had been a long time since you last cut itânot since your wedding, to be exact. it wasn't because of some tradition or anything like that; your husband simply loved your long hair, and so did you. your thoughts were interrupted by the movement behind you. your beloved husband, sukuna, had woken up. with lazy steps, he slowly got out of bed and loosely wrapped all four of his arms around you from behind.
âmorning, wife.â he said with a raspy morning voice.
âmorning, husband. did you sleep well?â
âI was sleeping quite well until you woke up and decided to leave me, my dear wife.â
you let out a chuckle, and decided to tease him a little. âreally, kuna? you seemed determined to keep me awake last night.â
he let out a low groan and buried his face in the crook of your neck.âwoman, all you do is blame me. donât act like youâre so innocent.â
âbut i am innocent my lord,â you said, raising your hand to thread your fingers through his hair.
âwhatever you say my lady.â
his fingers traced over your black tattoos carved into your skin. yours were unlike his; your tattoos resembled skin burned by raging flames. besides, your tattoos were not symmetrical, stretching along the left side of your body from your ear down to your ankle. there were similarities between you two as well, of courseâsuch as both of you having four arms. despite what most believed, this was not a deformity. if you wanted to, both of you could look like a "normal human." however, as the strongest, having four arms was an immense advantage in battle, and neither of you cared about looking "normal" anyway.
sukuna, noticing that you seemed lost in thought, scooped you up from your chair and carried you back to the bed with his strong arms. you had no intention of resistingâafter all, a saturday morning when both of you were free didn't come around very often. once he leaned back against the bed, he pulled you into his arms, your head resting against his chest. eyes closed, he was softly stroking your arm.
it was quiet outside; the only sounds filling the room were the rhythm of your breathing and your heartbeats. you both felt peaceful. you wrapped your arms tightly around sukuna.
sometimes you wondered if the two of you were truly made for each other. even with a hundred and fifty years stretching between you, was the striking resemblance of your fates merely a coincidence, or something designed by fate? you were both born in the heian era, in the remote, forgotten corners of what is now known as kyoto. just unwanted burdens to your families, monsters to your villagesâchildren the world simply couldn't bear to look upon.
given the circumstances, slaughtering everyone was the only choice left to you; after all, you were never offered anything other than death to begin with. there was no one to teach either of you how to tame the power surging within, not that it would have mattered anyway. you likely would have killed them too. perhaps your destinies had been intertwined from the very start, though you supposed you would never truly know.
âwife? you seem to have a lot on your mind.â
âmaybe kuna, i was thinking about the past,â you said softly.
although he remained silent, his actions said otherwise. his grip tightened, thinking about his past too. after a long moment, he broke the silence with his usual dismissive tone.
âtch, you know what? fuck the past. we're here now. thatâs the only thing that matters.â
thank you for reading!! tell me if this is corny afđi am still figuring out how to write my delusions
