i. treat me how you want to be treated. let's be kind, respectful, and communicate like adults if there are any problems. i like to think i'm a pretty reasonable and approachable person, so please don't be afraid to reach out to me. i'm just here to have fun. this blog isn't affiliated with anyone and is private/selective, meaning i only roleplay with mutuals and don't follow for follow. please respect that. i'm mostly trying not to overwhelm myself. also, if i follow you it means i want to interact, plain and simple. if you don't follow back in a week i'll usually just unfollow by then to keep my dash clean.

ii. while i do think it's good to call out actively harmful people (groomers, manipulators, abusers, etc.) i find a lot of call out posts on tumblr tend to be more along the lines of "i don't personally get along with/agree with this person so i'm going to slander them." for that reason i do often separate myself from call out culture and the drama that surrounds it. please don't drag me into it, i can make judgements of people's character on my own. i also don't care to police the kind of things people write. if i'm uncomfortable with certain topics i'll just block the tags and not engage with it. you do you, i'll do me. i'm an adult. i really don't care to get involved in debates like that.

iii. eito is an antagonist — a calculated manipulator with a deep hatred of humanity. depending on the circumstances he could be rude, obsessive, judgmental, and dangerous. however, more than that, he is a very complicated character. there is more to him than evil, and of course i won't woobify him either. let it be known i do not condone any of his villainous actions.

iv. eito is of age— and i am of age. given the content of the game, nsfw content is likely to be present. i refuse to write those topics with underaged muses. and i won't follow underaged muns in general. while probably VERY RARE if not nonexistent with a character like eito, any potential smut threads will be tagged "#nsft tw".

v. i am a full time college student and do not have time to be terminally online. be patient with me. this is just a hobby. if you have any questions please just send them my way.

No matter how dire the situation, Hiruko knew how to make herself feel relaxed enough to fall asleep. Sometimes, meditation was helpful- even if it involved imagining the sights and sounds of viscera and innards being ripped away from their bodies. It was either that, or it was picturing herself in an island with an assortment of cats, or calico cats with different patterns, to be even more specific. But tonight was an exception, it seemed.

Whenever she closed her eyes, her mind looked back to Sirei's untimely demise. Even now, the culprit remained a mystery to her. All she could ponder about was the timing of his disappearance. She couldn't tell whether it was done on purpose, or if it was a pure coincidence. After all, everything and everyone supposedly was out to get them. They had a mission, and to see it through the end was a must. Hiruko would make it happen by any means necessary.

She was rather concerned that she put a curse upon herself by doing what Sirei exactly did. Though she had full confidence in her strength and power, even she could be an easy target if she was asleep, or if she was recovering at the Infirmary. Either way, unexpected paranoia got to her tonight of all nights. It was rather troublesome, since she didn't want exhaustion to get in the way of tomorrow's plans. Showcase of weakness was unnecessary, not after everything she did to keep the group together as the de facto leader.

Speaking of the Special Defense Unit... No, it shouldn't be any of them. Sirei planted a bomb inside of us, right? Now that was a new food for thought. She was surprised at herself for not wondering about this sooner. In fact, she felt like she was on the verge of an epiphany- until she felt something in the air. At first, she thought it was an occurrence of sleep paralysis, but she could move her limbs just fine. When her closed eyes made out a shadow, her eyes shot wide open. She never expected who would greet her line of sight at the dead of night.

"Aotsuki?"

She gave him a once-over. He was in Class Armor with his weapon out. Seeing him, of all people, was a shock. Nonetheless, she didn't let her emotions get the better of her. It seemed Eito was just as startled, but unlike Hiruko, his emotions were open for her to see. She couldn't wrap her head around it. For all intents and purposes, it looked like he was going to commit the unthinkable. She didn't have her Infuser with her, so she was at a disadvantage. Or rather, she presented herself as that, given her self-training at the Tokyo Residential Complex.

Listening to his explanation, it seemed fair enough. However, the damage was done. Looking back, Eito was the one who found a fragment of Sirei while he tried to find a way to escape. But, even she knew that was still just circumstantial evidence. There was no other evidence to pinpoint that he was the mystery murderer all along. Yet... She didn't have the heart to fully doubt him, either. Alas, this was another curse she put upon herself. She could only hope she didn't make the wrong decision. From now on, all she would do was to keep her guard up around him.

"I didn't expect someone like you to go through great lengths for people you barely know," Hiruko stated, fixing her glasses as she sat up from her bed. "You're quite the mind-reader, aren't you? I had the same concern just now." Her glance fell onto the weapon he held. "That, or I foiled possible murder plans." The tone of her voice was casual, as if she was jesting with Eito. In truth, if he did have malicious intentions for some reason, it served as a warning.

"Thanks to you, though, we found out how bad security is around here. I guess I'll have to read through the manual in the War Room to see if there's anything we can do to improve the situation."

She then left the comforts of her own bed to stand and place a hand on her hips in front of Eito. Her gaze was stern this time, which was more or less how she looked like almost by default. "You should really get better at reading the room, though. People might get the wrong idea if they find out you sneaked into my room. So, I think it's best if you leave quietly and act like nothing happened. Hmph. Consider yourself lucky I'm even letting you off the hook. But this will be the last time."

         ❝  m-murder plans?   ❞  a look of shock — as if he's heartbroken she would even assume something like that from him. in truth, irritation bubbles inside of him. this is inconvenient. there's no doubt she has suspicions of him now, no matter how he tries to play this off. the question now is whether he tries to strike and absorb her hemoanima now or wait for a more opportune time.

         once she stands, though, it's over. even if he has the advantage, and even if he has a natural talent as a killer, he can't make risky moves. this is the chance of a lifetime. if he messes this up then he will never get another opportunity to fully eradicate humanity once and for all. patience is key. they have a hundred days. and a lot can happen in that time.

         a hand rests on his chest, nodding at her words and sighing in gratefully. he must stay consistent in his character, even if he's made this more difficult for himself with this blunder.   ❝  i'm just relieved you're okay.   ❞  he gives that disgusting, grotesque form in front of him his best smile. it sickens him to act so courteously to these monsters. had he less self control he'd have swung his scythe the second she got closer to him.   ❝  even if we haven't known each other long, you're still my friend. if i hadn't checked in on you and something happened i wouldn't be able to forgive myself. we all need to watch out for each other, don't we?   ❞ 

         he's read so many sappy monologues about friendship in various books gone through over the years. he never would've thought that knowledge would come in handy.  ❝  sorry for scaring you. i'll definitely knock next time.   ❞ he laughs, attempting to clear the tension in the air.   ❝  but you are right, the lack of security is concerning. i suppose that's because whoever built this school was more concerned with protecting the school itself — as well as whatever is in the defense room. but if an invader were to somehow slip past the wall of flames without setting off they alarms while we were sleeping... well, it certainly wouldn't be pretty.   ❞ 

         if hiruko is looking to buff up personal security, then the best thing for him would be to get involved with that.  ❝  i'll look into that as well. even though i didn't trust him, losing sirei has put me on edge. it's better to try to prevent anything from happening than to just wait around and hope everything works out for us.   ❞

Eito realized his own inquiry opened new realms of possibilities. His mind was quick to picture one of the worst probabilities- where a variant of himself out there might not share the same goals. Just imagining how it was more than likely made him sick to his stomach. All he had to ensure was the success of this timeline. He figured that the mindset required was to consider those inferior timelines as null and void. This was where everything would come into fruition.

"I was just thinking that, too..." A new factoid might have been just disclosed, as he learned that there was actually a way to jump to different timelines. He was the one out of the loop between the two of them, so it might not be information that would be relevant to him. After all, he did just convince himself that every other timeline was useless to him now. He was going to pour all his focus and determination in achieving his goals in the timeline they were both in. "Are you sure it's alright to leave it all behind? I'm assuming you might have already made more significant progress than me. Things are just barely getting started on my end. So even in a scenario where you do ask me to accompany you, I feel like I won't be of much help at all."

Though he might be giving himself no credit, he tried to think about it from the other's perspective. Knowledge had always been his- their greatest weapon. It was like an author rewriting their own work; a chance to undo and redo. Any misgivings and shortcomings would made up for. In short, they found themselves in an ideal scenario. Although it would only remain as an ideal if the actions didn't speak for themselves.

He then placed a hand on his chest, his visage displaying that of earnest gratitude. "I'm fortunate that you've reached this timeline. There's no reason why we can't reach the finish line together now." Needless to say, he was more inspired than ever to see this through until the end. "Well, first thing's first, unless you've already found out for yourself... I've already eliminated Sirei and Hiruko-san. No one suspects a thing. It seems there's an advantage being closely associated with Takumi-kun." After Hiruko, he was pretty much the de facto leader of the Last Defense Academy. As much as it pained him to stay close with an ugly, reeking, nasty, repulsive human being like him, he was left with no choice. Takumi trusted Eito; which he felt was an essential key in the fulfillment of his primary objective.

         it seems his initial assumption was right. this is the original timeline — the one takumi experienced before deciding to go back into the past and do it all over again. the fact that this version of him is close to him is enough to convince him that this is the case. after all, the first thing takumi did when he came back was call him out on his hatred of humanity.

         ❝  that's even better than i could've hoped for. it seems i've ended up in the most ideal timeline of them all.   ❞  his motivation has never been higher. this will work out. there's no way it wouldn't with the two of them working together. with his knowledge of the future and the other's advantageous position there's nothing that could take them down.

         next comes the part where he fills the other him in on what he knows. it's not as if he intends to hide anything from him. there's no one he could trust more than himself. it's just a matter of figuring out where to begin. what context was necessary?

         ❝  i suppose i have a bit of explaining to do now. if you have any questions later, i'll be happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge. but for now i think it's best that you know where exactly i'm coming from.   ❞  the more shared between the two of them the better. he wouldn't want to limit himself by avoiding any information, even if it doesn't seem relevant. so he leaves those doors unlocked so that they can open them up at a later point.

         ❝  though i'm not entirely sure on the exact events that allowed for this to happen, at some point in the future takumi-kun gained the ability to travel back in time. this takumi-kun found out about our plans and returned to the past in order to stop us from succeeding. in my timeline, i was stopped before i could kill sirei and thrown into one of the cages in the courtyard. the fact that your version of takumi-kun seems unaware of the future — and about our true intentions — is a big deal.   ❞  it can easily be assumed that they nearly succeeded in the timeline takumi is from. which means that so long as they can prevent takumi from learning anything, or else get rid of him altogether, there should be nothing that gets in their way.
