Managed to avoid looking at people for a whole day. Success. Only one more to go.

go walk past izaya
why don't you just flush yourself down the toilet
To come back to holiday festivities was surely something for the young exorcist to witness. The decorations, the slight feeling of uneasiness in the air, it felt strange to see this. He'd secluded himself to his room these past few weeks, so needless to say he was a bit confused by everything. But curiosity peaked above everything else and upon hearing that 'potions' of sorts were available for purchase, he wanted to see what all the fuss was about for himself.
Slowly, he saunters to rocket punch market eyes droopy and spirit still feeling a bit crushed over old things that happened months ago. He'd have to remember to talk to Lavi about everything later as it didn't feel right to avoid him. Allen stands in front of the doors to the market now and slowly, he walks in. It's empty, nobody is here. Perfect. He'd rather not be seen by anyone right now anyway in such a pathetic state. Eyes scan the store looking for the item he wanted and there they were. Potions lined up against shelves ever so neatly and labelled for what their use was for. Carefully, he looks at the labels trying to decide which one he'd like to try for himself. There were so many to choose from, so there was only one way to decide.
Closing his eyes and picking at random, it was the only way to be fair. So without further ado, eyes closed and hand reaching out, he grabs a bottle at random, takes the top off and downs it all. This could either end very badly or very well depending on which he had chosen. He felt nothing for a moment, until his body started to feel light almost as if he were on a cloud and an overwhelmingly powerful emotion rose inside of him.
Confused, he opens his eyes to look down at the potion label, only for his eyes to widen in surprise. Love Potion. In shock, the bottle falls from his hands and the glass shattered. This...really wasn't good.
I will not forgive a single one of you.
Suddenly feels like slicing something
No slicing today, Kanda. Let's just enjoy the heartfelt reunion.
Sudden hostility in the air. It can only be one person.

Happy birthday to the man who killed me.
"Thank you."
Being killed by someone whom you consider your close companion takes it's toll and while it was very much needed for him to die, he wished that things hadn't gone as they had. It was because of him that Lavi was now lost to the darkness. It was because of him that an innocent boy had died. It was because of him that his team had lost.
It was all because of him that everything had gone wrong.
Grey eyes now focus on the television monitor up on the wall. Deaths are being played and soon, he sees himself on the television. There he was, breaking an innocent boy's leg and again, there he was...getting his head cut off.
He shouldn't be alive right now for what he's done. He let loose control over something he shouldn't have done. Nea had done unnspeakable things to the people here and Allen would never be able to live with that. The death of the young boy was what sent him over the edge. The sound of bones breaking, the pain he must've felt. He'd caused another human being to die. Slowly, he brought his hands in front of him. He was a monster, didn't deserve to live. He should've stayed dead. This academy would be better off without him.
Disgusting.
And now tears began to fall. What does he have to cry for? The fact that he's a monster? It's his own fault. It's his fault for being so weak and because of that weakness, he will never forgive himself for letting this happen. After he's well enough, he's gone.
The first boat off of this island is what he's taking. It's time to go back to where he needs to be. On the run, a fugitive. He can't hurt anybody if there's no one around for him to hurt. No one here would miss somebody like him anyway.
❝ ...Truly, I am a monster. ❞
✘ { Miss. He’s faster than expected, but naturally you wouldn’t be able to gauge one’s agility without seeing it firsthand. A simple, fixable mistake, but the other male is there before he can take another swing. There’s the sound of skin slicing as it hits, and while it wasn’t himself who caused the blow, it’s not that big of a deal. He didn’t come here for the kidnapper, he came for the kidnappee, and whether it was himself or the redhead who dealt the final killing blow was irrelevant. All that really mattered was that he died, plain and simple.
Allen, Nea, Allen, Nea, the names go back and forth with some sort of relevancy to the two between them. Friends, acquaintances, something along those lines. Really, Robert has no idea what’s going on or what it means, but it’s not really something too important to him personally. Perhaps later he’d bother with questioning it, as it seems to be holding the person they’re assaulting back as if he’s hesitant. The blond straightens, leans forward a bit, and watches as the man hits the ground.
It’s a bit fascinating to watch, as it’s not often you see people transform quite literally in front of your eyes. He goes quite literally from black to white, and it’s like staring at a completely different person. Maybe that was exactly it, if the change in tone and personality was any indication.
But then the dark version is back, only moving to cover his injury and simply stare up at his assailants. No attempts at escape, at fighting back? Well, in that case, he wastes no time in simply striding up, pocketing his free hand and placing one foot on the other’s shoulder as if to keep him down. }
And here I thought there’d be more of a fight.
✘ { His eyes slide towards Lavi to speak before back to Nea once he’s finished. }
Did you want the honors, since you’re so familiar? I don’t particularly care either way.
Perhaps if his eyes were clear and his face was pure of markings, Lavi might have hesitated. Might have looked at the gleam of tears in “Allen’s” eyes, heard the desperation in his voice when he whispered those two words in a voice cracked with pain.
Kill me.
But his eyes were cold and flat, and spirals of purple were engraved on his cheeks, going deeper under the skin than anyone would understand. Curling around the exorcist’s heart and squeezing all compassion, joy, and sense of friendship he had once possessed. A beautiful rose flowering, leeching away all emotion from him. Reminding him what he was. What he would always be.
Bookman.
And he didn’t hesitate, didn’t even think twice, when he completely ignored every single thing that had come from Nea and Robert’s mouths, ignored the fact that his “friend” was asking for his help.
Lavi didn’t have any friends, after all.
A few strides took him to where the blonde stood, one foot raised and pressing on the darker-haired’s shoulder, restraining him. A single shove took care of that obstacle, hands pressing against Robert’s shoulder as he pushed him away from the target, now nameless in Lavi’s mind. The push was enough to send the other flying, though he didn’t exactly pay attention long enough to find out. His cold eyes had already locked onto the kneeling male before him, the shard of glass in his hands coming up to press on his already blood-soaked throat.
"The honors were already mine."

It's funny, how one moment you've got an entire situation under control, or at least you think you have an entire situation under control. It had only taken mere minutes for his downfall. If only he'd been wary about the fact that the young exorcist could resurface within him at any time, maybe then things might've turned out differently than they had now. Eyes now looked up at both of the men standing before him. He wanted to move, but it was impossible. He was being held back and there was nothing he could do but await whatever punishment they had to give him. He would have liked to think it was because of Allen that he couldn't move, but maybe it was the slight guilt he had felt for what he'd done. ❝ Tch.. ❞
To go down in a way such as this, pitiful. ❝ Go ahead and end it. ❞ And he might as well fade out of consciousness. With that, amber eyes now fade back to a grey, signifying that Nea was no more and Allen had come back. But the look in Lavi's eyes did not change and when Allen looked up at his friend, he knew what had happened. He's fought this side of him before. Eyes wide now, filled with tears as he tried to speak. ❝ Lavi.. ❞
To have it all end this way, was cruel to say the least. These past few weeks have been nothing but a nightmare for the young exorcist and quite frankly, he's tired. He's tired, he's ready to leave, he just wants to sleep and now he will finally. ❝ ...Just don't forget who you are. ❞ He says with a smile and again, Lavi's expression does not falter. Allen's eyes are closed now, ready to embrace the welcoming arms of death that now beckoned him to come.
✘ { A cup of tea would be nice, but fortunately he had his own back at base. Accomplishing what he came here to do was what took first priority, and if he had to take a detour to teach some fool a lesson, so be it. It wasn’t as if he seemed to pose much of a threat to the two of them, anyway. The other certainly talked big for someone who could only break defenseless children’s legs like that was much of a feat. }
I expected as much. But that’s fine.
✘ { Just handing him over would be foolish, although that would make things a lot easier. oh well. Force was necessary, so he’d use it to the best of his abilities to get this annoying obstacle out of his way and, preferably, dead on the ground where he belonged for sticking his nose where it didn’t belong. Human or not, he’d look better and be more tolerable as a corpse.
Grin across lips widen a fraction as he watches the expression change, slowly examining the other’s stance, position, and already there’s a plan in motion in his mind, possibilities and preferable outcomes coming together. The offer comes, and he’s ready. }
I think I will.
✘ { Then he moves, sudden agile, already closing the distance. If he wants him to make the first move, then so be it; he’ll just get close enough before abruptly diving left, already throwing out a glass-clenched hand for a slash at his side. However the redhead decides to follow up with the blond, if at all, would be worked with. }
Of course this wouldn’t have been settled in a civil manner, not with the severe injury of a small child on Nea’s hands and the burn of responsibility smoldering in Lavi’s chest. He should have prevented Allen from turning into… something else, or been there to kill him right off the bat if he couldn’t, but he hadn’t. So, now it was time to do what he should have a long time ago.
"I’m sorry, Allen."
And with those words, the exorcist started moving, heading straight for Nea, though he was a little too slow to get to him first. The blonde had already shot ahead with a monotone smile, fist clenched around the rust-colored glass shard in his hand, slashing right for the Noah’s side. A small part of Lavi winced internally, knowing that the sharp edge was heading right for the flesh of someone he had called a “friend”, though the colder part of him, the part that he knew was driving him now, clamped down on the small emotion, snuffing it out as if it were blowing out a candle.
That movement was enough to speed him up, though, and he shot forward, the glass in his own hand striking forward like a glint of ice, the razor-sharp edge of it slicing right for Nea’s throat. If the blow succeeded to land, it would cut clean across his neck, severing arteries and his windpipe. A guaranteed kill.
And though the small part of the teenager that cried out against hurting his friend flared to life again, it was quickly suffocated by the larger part of him, whispering logical words in the back of his mind and reminding him, reminding him that he was a Bookman. He didn’t have friends. Snuffing out his individuality even as it caused purple ink to swirl over his face, crossing the bridge of his nose and fanning out against his cheekbones. Turning his eyes to pieces of cold jade.
Allen Walker was gone. Nea Walker was a threat. And Lavi was going to kill him.
❝ Come get him then. ❞ He says once more and the blond already makes hismove and while the young Noah is very agile and able to escape his first attack. It should be easy to dodge the second incoming round from Lavi, or so he'd have liked to think. Rusted glass made a whishing sound as it grazed against his neck now and he faintly sense the smell of iron, likely coming from his throat. If only the redhead had been a bit more precise, it might've killed him right then and there, but Nea was better than that. He quickly moves back now from the both of them, knowing that they're going to likely take a swing at him again dn he can't have that happen, not yet. ❝ Name's Nea, not Allen. ❞ That's right. ❝ Allen's not coming back. ❞
Allen was no more. Trapped in the back of his consciousness, he'd disappear soon enough once Nea stayed in his body for a long enough amount of time. If only the both of them knew the struggles he'd gone through to get this body, as if he'd go down that easily. But as he's standing here, he should be preparing to attack them and for some strange reason, he can't bring himself to at all. His body won't move, his mind says one thing, but his body is stopping him. It shouldn't have been this hard to kill people whom you've had no relation to whatsoever, but it must've been Allen's doing, since he still has some type of control. ❝ Damn kid.. ❞ It's bothersome, to have to deal with this in the middle of a fight.
Then, a sudden throbbing, aching pain overcomes him. If his attackers would wait just a moment, they'd see him fall to the ground now, his breathing ragged and skin slowly beginning to change color once more. His dark skin was now pale white and his dark hair now changed to white. And there he would lay until the transformation complete once more. Allen was back, for that moment and for that moment only, he'd utter a few words. ❝ Kill..me. ❞
But as soon as that's said and over with, Nea takes hold of his consciousness once more and they are then again, faced with the Noah. ❝ Tch..stupid kid. Always in the way. ❞ And now his attention is turned to Robert and Lavi. ❝ So what're you gonna do? Grant the poor kid's wish? ❞ Hand held to his neck now, where the fresh cut Lavi had inflicted on him still lay.
✘ { Somewhere along the line, he was joined. He didn’t know the other personally besides the face to face alliance meeting they had, but judging by the fact the two were both not from team 5 and yet in their territory, it was most likely safe to assume they had similar goals. It seemed the other was headed in the same direction anyway, so he had apparently gained a companion. A companion who’s reaction to the other’s bow and words was something the blond was interested in seeing.
He talks a lot, that’s for sure. He has pure confidence for someone who looks so weak. An admirable trait, but an irritating one as well. His smile remains plastered to his face despite quite literally being referred to as trash, only tilting his head in answer at first before responding. }
You’re quite bold, that’s good! But do you really think it’s that easy?
I’m willing to guess you had plans to use him as a bargaining chip. That and the fact you took him in the first place conflicts with my interests, you see.
✘ { A flash, and he rolls a blood-encrusted shard of glass around in his fingers., still leftover from his first fight with a certain taoist. There’s no real animosity, concern, or worry in his gaze. His mission is clear. }
I’ll think I’ll be taking him back. If you want to get in the way, then we’ll just get rid of you. I’m afraid bargaining isn’t an option.
Lavi wasn’t exactly sure why he had decided to travel to team 5’s base, and not sure why he had decided to confront the existence known as “Nea Walker.” A sense of duty, perhaps? He definitely felt responsible, even if it was only a small bit. Perhaps Allen wouldn’t have given up his body to the Noah if Lavi had been there. Maybe Lavi could have helped him fight it. Maybe he could have saved the younger male. Maybe. It was all possibilities, not quite logical, but even so, that little itch of responsibility remained, a slight irritation on the red-head’s skin. And, finally, he was driven to action.
And though he wasn’t quite sure when he had joined with the blonde he now stood beside, he didn’t complain. His features were familiar, ones that Lavi had seen at trials on multiple occasions. Robert, his name was. Usually the exorcist would be made edgy by his presence, but this time, with them both being on opposing teams as 5, there was no doubt that they were both here for the same thing.
It gave Lavi a bit of courage as he stood before the Noah, Nea, a piece of broken glass loosely held in his hands.
"Hand over the child, Nea. I’m not sure about myself, but I’m pretty confident that my companion here will kill you if you try refuse." He was going to take a page out of Robert’s book and completely ignore the jab about them being trash, green eyes icy and giving nothing away. Though the boy wasn’t his primary objective at all, Lavi still knew that getting him out of the other’s possession would be the first step into subduing him, and if he could talk some sense into him, then maybe "Nea" would transform back into "Allen".
So it looks like they weren't interested in sitting down and having a cup of tea, not like he expected anything otherwise, but it was worth trying before things got serious and there was no way to turn back. ❝ Hm...I see. ❞ Such a shame that such power was being wasted over a child. ❝ Well, I'm not handing him over so easily. ❞
And while he'd been extra careful to save his strength for this fight that he knew had been coming, something felt off. He didn't quite feeling like himself and whether or not it was Allen fighting to take back control of his body could prove to be troublesome if he wanted to win this fight. No matter, he'd have to be very careful as to not showing them that he was vulnerable. ❝ You want the boy...? ❞ The smile that had once been on his face had now changed into a more solemn look at he stared down the two men in front of him.
❝ Come get him then. ❞
