I think it’s hilarious that Akechi and Sumire’s interactions in Maruki’s palace consist of Akechi being like “Alright I’ll take the lead for you.” And Sumire being excited, then seeing him in battle, and leaning over to Akira to ask “Senpai what the fuck is wrong with him?”

It’s so funny to me that nobody, to my knowledge, told Sumire about Akechi being the mental shutdown worker during the third semester, like imagine you’re sorta kinda friends with a guy through work, and you have a mutual friend who seems to know him more than you, and the work friend seems like a pretty friendly and open dude, then you go into some magical world with him and your mutual with some powers you’re still getting used to, and the work friend is a complete ball of cynicism who is screaming “YES! VIOLENCE!” And it’s kinda off putting but your mutual says it’s normal for him so you go with it. Then shenanigans and finding out your work friend is dead and was only alive because your mutual who you sorta liked had a big fat gay crush on him so his therapist could use his life as leverage to not fight back later, you win the fight, your mutual comes out of prison, and you’re comforting him, and he’s like “Yeah… I know he killed a lot of people… including me… but I’m really gonna miss him.” And you’re just like hold up. Hold up. What the fuck. What the fuck.
