vibrating at a speed that can shatter glass for Me and Thee :3 MWAH.
hey don't cry. on december 3, 1926, agatha christie went missing for eleven days and because the uk police didn't know what to do they recruited sir arthur conan doyle, creator of master detective sherlock holmes, but all he did was conduct a séance to try and contact her distressed spirit
Despite having watched this series and this scene countless times, today it hits me that they both understand what it feels like to be without family. The focus is mainly on Peach, and how he relates to Mork because of his own history with trying to keep LookPlub from being adopted until she is old enough to come and live with him. Mork is living Peach's childhood fear of being separated from his sister.
Thee is shown as understanding and sympathetic, the greenest of flags. Don't ask me why it wasn't explicit in my brain until now, but it's not just understanding, it's empathy because he also knows. He has been lonely for a long time. And now they have each other 🥹
I didn't really finish Super Soaker because personally it was not my cup of tea, but I feel like I just need to say one tiny little thing before moving on with my life...
I understand and I agree with everyone that somehow felt betrayed by the author. I also agree that AI should stay out of fandom spaces, we should be critical of it.
Having that said: I must urge you to be careful with your reactions. I'm not on X, only on Tumblr and on Tiktok, but I suppose the comments online have been increasingly heated throughout the day over all of these platforms. I've read some pretty extreme ones.
Even though Super Soaker (and some other fanfics I found) are very likely AI generated, there are still real people behind it. Claude AI is not posting that stuff on AO3 on its own. The real people behind it made a mistake, and I think we can criticize them without being mean. I worry we're turning this into a witch hunt, specially because these authors caught using AI are deep in the fandom environment, they're probably reading every single thing being said.
We must be critical, not harmful. Be careful, always 💛💙
Somewhat lighthearted personal anecdote amidst the Super Soaker drama: I never read it and always assumed the “improper use of a water gun” was one of them fucking the other with a water gun. This is not the case.
I never read super soaker but just from being on byler tumblr it’s apparent that it was(!!!) a very well-loved fic, so I’m sorry to all you guys out there mourning a previous favorite :(
(Sorry this isn’t about you I’m using sending this to spread this to the tumblr byler community)
Because wheezy is apparently 32 the fandom once again is targeting the wrong people and saying that people who are in their 30s are too old to be in a fandom. The takeaway from this situation should be ai is bad and we shouldn’t tolerate it, not that we should exclude 30+ year olds from fandom (who btw most of the time have way more experience and in fandoms and contributed way more than the people villainising them). I’m not even 30 but that doesn’t matter, why does this fandom keep drawing the wrong conclusions…
THIS!!!! i hate when people detract from the real issue by making it about irrelevant things. bruh
look i know you think pond loves phuwin or like phuwin loves pond or whatever but I need to tell you this that in my opinion I don't think they should be together. i think they both should marry me instead.
In the Song Dynasty (960–1279) capital of Kaifeng, there existed the world's first equivalent of a gourmet guide. Detailed lists of the best establishments and their specializations were compiled in popular literary notes, such as "Dreams of Splendor of the Eastern Capital”
The city amazed with its variety: there were restaurants specializing exclusively in noodles, only in dumplings (jiaozi), or only in lamb. There were vegetarian kitchens for monks, 24-hour taverns, and even a service for complete banquet takeout with all the dishes and tableware included. This demonstrates an incredibly developed food culture comparable to the modern one.
滴水兽 “drip beasts” are a part of the traditional Minnan architecture in southern Fujian and eastern Guangdong provinces. They were originally rain leaks used to replace the rainwater drainage system. The beasts are carved as animals, Chinese mythological creatures, and plants/flowers.
Meanings: goldfish represents surplus every year, qilin represents delivering children, mandarin ducks represent happiness, tigers represent bravery and fearlessness, elephants represent renewal of all things, and various plants and flowers also carry different meanings.
花酥 (huā sū) is a traditional Chinese flaky pastry known for its flower-shaped, layered appearance and delicate crisp texture. 花酥 literally means “flower pastry”. 🌸
Its shape is often chrysanthemum-like. It can be sweet or savory and is often served with tea. Common fillings include: red bean paste, jujube paste, lotus seed paste, black sesame.
Usually associated with northern Chinese pastry traditions, especially Beijing, where they used to be enjoyed by the royal family of Qing dynasty. Also common in old teahouses and festive occasions. It also appears in Chinese Muslim (Hui) pastry traditions, usually made with vegetable oil instead of lard.
