I would have given so much to see Jane experimenting with her style in season 5, wearing 80s clothes, dresses, skirts, heels, styling her hair, wearing makeup, jewelry, etc.

Instead she only has two outfits throughout the entire season, and imo they both look like they had absolutely no thought put into them?? Like completely lacking retro whimsy?? Not to mention her hair is hidden in a bun the entire time. We don’t even get to see it once.

Jane’s style, her femininity, and especially her hair is a hugely symbolic part of her character and it was always a really important detail of her story. It was so disappointing to see the creators of season 5 forget that :((

I really wish we got to see the kids actually doing teenager things in season five— driving, having jobs, listening to loud music, partying, smoking cigarettes, make-outs, fights, dressing alternatively, just rebelling in general.

Yeah I know they’re meant to be nerdy losers but they’re also like 17. Please let them go cause some trouble.

this may be kinda controversial but imo this was the only memorable or gritty part of season 5

I genuinely believe the duffers put “Friends.. no thanks…” in the tower scene to mock and troll queer people because HEAVEN FORBID we get one tiny scene to give us some closure.
