Congratulations to Norcross & Scott on this beautiful renovation of a Ravenswood Firehouse into Amanda and her family’s new home!
See here for the feature in CS Modern Luxury Magazine.

Delighted to see the Sophy Hotel in Hyde Park, Chicago was named to the Travel & Leisure “It List 2019” of best new hotels in the world. I photographed the hotel for it’s opening launch, and it’s definitely worth checking out (all rooms come with their own record player!)

The Polar vortex that descended on Chicago a few days ago has finally lifted, but the freezing temperatures did give some amazing scenes over Lake Michigan. I took this picture from the 46th floor of a high rise, opposite the lake, with the steaming lake and freezing ice extending out through Monroe Harbor. The tiny speck on the left side of the image is the Chicago Harbor Lighthouse.
I’m delighted to see a book I made recently featured on the MILK website. MILK is a book printing service based in New Zealand who have printed several books for me, most recently one with images from my India trip. They make great books with linen covers but this one is a Moleskin book, with the familiar black cover just like the notebooks and a slightly warm cream colored paper. They do a fabulous job with the printing, and ship very quickly to the US.
Here’s a link to their blogpost.

One of the first jobs I had when I moved to New York was photographing interiors for Statue of Liberty museum. I made many trips out to the island photographing, including this one where we went all the way to the top of the scaffolding where they were restoring the flame held high above the crown of Lady Liberty. The view from Liberty Island was always spectacular, and dominated then by the shimmering towers of The World Trade Center.
