After a brief interaction with their team regarding the response to the Instagram situation, I absolutely cannot recommend LitJoy Crate. They made it very clear to me that they capitulated to antis who had been in their inboxes harassing them about the post. I made it very clear in my communication that the people they were being "unwelcoming" to had a long history of harassment, threats, etc in the community, and this was their response:

Our intention was never to support harmful behavior or individuals. We removed the slides and apologized because we received feedback from multiple members of the community (both publicly and through direct emails) who felt the wording was hurtful or unwelcoming.

Our decision was not based on one individual, nor was it intended as an endorsement of any person or viewpoint. We simply wanted to de-escalate a situation that had become increasingly negative and ensure our community remained a welcoming space for readers and fandoms alike."

They're clearly more interested in being "welcoming" to certain types of people than they are in actually addressing this kind of misbehavior.

It’s just too perfect that in the CHD interview SJM said that Elain had her own shit going on and was dealing with the aftermath of being turned fae and what that means, while we have Azriel listening intently to Nesta talk about her journey with the same thing in HOFAS.

It’s almost as if he has a particular interest in not just Nesta as his sister in law, but HOW she dealt/is dealing with a trauma ELAIN is also battling. You know, the woman he CLEARLY ALREADY HAS FEELINGS FOR.

My hope for the next book is that we get to see an azriel who is soft with elain but who has no mercy with those who threaten her. Someone who is territorial and absolute in his protection of elain with no qualms about using violence.

We know that elain will be in dangerous situations and I hope that az is right by her side ready to defend her by any means necessary. I want to see him use physical violence and threats to defend her. To be a menacing presence at her side daring anyone to try.

Growling and snarling. Wings flaring. Shadows gathering and surrounding ready to strike any threat to her. Unable to be calmed down by anyone but elain when he goes into protective mode. Give me the azriel at the highlords meeting choking out eris, careful how you talk to my high lady azriel, eyes glazed with rage ready to rescue elain no matter the risk azriel.

She's his home and his light and he isn't going to let anyone touch her.

Very interesting to say the least.

So later when Amren says that type of bond can’t be broken, I can’t help but think about it being nullified by magic… seems like a potential Elriel clue to me.
