house with the red door
Cersei is as gentle as King Maegor, as selfless as Aegon the Unworthy, as wise as Mad Aerys.
So anyway hereâs something funny about Daenerysâ âmadnessâ: in the books Barristan Selmy doesnât reveal himself to her immediately, hides his identity and is eventually discovered by Jorah. Then Barristan tells Daenerys that he chose NOT to follow Viserys because he did show signs of madness just like their father. Then proceedes to tell Daenerys that he had observed her under a false identity to find out whether she was, like Viserys, her fatherâs daughter, but he didnât see ANY SIGNS of this âmadnessâ in her. Barristan Selmy. A man who spent all his life by the Mad Kingâs side. Didnât see any signs of madness in Daenerys. So thereâs that.
I fully subscribe to this theory and I believe they swapped endings last minute
there are two kinds of people
kit harington: This is the second woman heâs fallen in love with who dies in his arms and he cradles her in the same way. Thatâs an awful thing. In some ways, Jon did the same thing to Ygritte by training the boy who kills her. This destroys Jon to do this.
emilia clarke: Um, he just doesnât like women does he? He keeps fâking killing them.
The winters are hard but the Starks will endure.
long may she reign

The Finale as Joffreyâs wedding
âMiserable affairâ
What was the point of Drogon burning the Iron Throne? Bran is still king. Like literally nothing has changed but the name of the ruling family and the level of power held by the king. As an omniscient ruler Bran has something more than absolute power. The wheel isnât broken, the system isnât fixed. They killed Dany just to put someone else in her place but the damage is still done and the peasant class and slaves of the world will still suffer.Â
I feel for every daenerys stans this season, because I remember the actual pain and disgust and anger I felt over season 5 when the show decided to have Sansa placed in Jeyne Pooles plot for no sensible reason. They de-railed my favourite characters story, after promising she would flourish this season, she was going to be a badass, we were going to love this season, just to have her raped and abused and locked in a room until she was rescued. I felt physically ill when those credits were rolling, after hearing her dress rip and her sobbing, GOT airs at 8am in the morning in Australia and I cried intermittently that whole day and when my mum came home at 5pm that evening her face dropped and immediately asked âwhats happened?â I was so obviously upset (Literally the simpsons marge and lisa âis a book character having difficultiesâ moment) like I KNOW itâs not real, but it hurt and in a way it hurt more because I knew it was not fair! Thats NOT what should have happened, it was a story that played out because DnD didnât care! They wanted someone shoved in Jeyne Pools role, they thought Sansaâs book story was boring, and thats how it played out. The plot did nothing but support Theons arc, and have Sansa be âgratefulâ because her imprisonment and rape is what made her strong apparently. Disgusting.
so if the leaks play out as they most likely will, I feel for you Daenerys stans, Iâve been there and it hurts.
And Iâm baffled by any gloating Sansa/Jonsa stans right now who are joyfully watching daenerysâs âdownfallâ because they think it validates them or their ship and makes Sansa come out a winnerâŠ.when Sansa was one of the first characters dismissed, hollowed out and destroyed by this show 3 seasons back.Â
In one of the interviews for season 5 D&D actually stated that they did that because it was a âstrongâ scene and had a dramatic impact, and that Sophie Turner could play that out brilliantly⊠they didnât give a single fck about Jeyne Poole.
This also infuriated me in season 7 where they clearly didnât change anything else for Sansa despite making her Jeyne Pool. Because why would show Sansa ever trust a word Littlefinger tells her again? Why wouldnât she just hate him? Book Sansa has a complicated relationship with the man, but it makes sense in the books where heâs both the man who saved and protected her as well as her creepy uncle.
I was never a huge Sansa fan, but I liked her. Behind Jon and Ned, she is probably my favorite Stark. But sheâs being written terribly too. Her last three seasons have been petty fights for no reason. Season 6 petty fights with Jon. Season 7 petty fights with Arya. Season 8 petty fights with Daenerys. Sheâll get rewarded in the end with the North for all of this, but not because she did some masterminding or saw something no one else did, which is what the writers will say. Nope, it will just be the plot giving her stuff because mad queen.Â
Just the fact that theyâve written everyone out of character is astonishing. Daenerys deserved so much better, but so did Sansa. I would love a smart, scheming Sansa who is one of the major players in the game and just running the board. I would have loved a Sansa smart enough to send Arya to kill Cersei rather than risk her troops. I would have loved a Sansa smart enough to act more Margaery than Cersei when Daenerys arrived. I would have loved Sansaâs response to Sandor be âeven little birds have deadly talonsâ or something a bit more affirming. I just feel bad for all Game of Thrones fans right now. We all deserved better, and Iâm sorry I defended this shit for too long. I should have started getting angry in Season 5 when the rot kicked in, but I was just happy enough until now.Â
#ive said it before and ill say it again #when petyr baelish died was the same episode that sansa shouldve died #theyre so woven together petyr and sansa theres no way that she wouldnt fall too #if either of them were to survive lets be real here itd be baelish #hes too coniving and has so much experience and practice in it #still so salty over show!sansas plot#they did her dirty (via @geekychemist)
I have been a Sansa fan ever since season 2 lead me to read the books in between seasons 2 and 3 and I fell in love with her character. I have been hoping to see her crowned as Queen in the North for years now. It is probably my biggest wish in the series. And I got it. And it was great. And I can project all my book expectations on to that one scene and ignore all the other trash that came before it. But let me tell you something, it still feels dirty that I had to see it at the expense of Daenerys Targaryenâs character.
To all Dany fans out there: I feel your pain for all the reasons previously listed above. And I am genuinely sorry.Â
we know no queen but the queen in the north whose name is  s t a r k
Bland the Broken, ruler of doing nothing in the midst of battle, useless warg of the Andals and the First Man, long may he reign.
Sam: uhhhh check out this neat book its called âA Song of Ice and Fireâ
