“I take men as they are, or let them be,
And teach my soul to bear their frailty. (Moliere, P690)
These hands provide an image of my soul,
They are a part of my role.
I accept men for who they are,
Or I teach my soul to bear their defect.
It is not how another man acts,
But how you respond to their cracks.
Philinte, you are my friend, however we obviously do not agree on how to respond to others imperfections. How will men ever become better men if you just tell them that they are great even if they have cracks? How will men know what to improve upon if you do not tell them? When I am honest to people, they can truly know how to improve themselves. However, when people like you simply try to appease other people and you tell them that they are great, then people will not will never know how to improve themselves.
