After hooking onto Alden, that major J. R. R. Tolkien fan. âLooks like weâre paired up for another round in this shitty game..â he sighed before bringing up his phone to repeat the message from B. âTruth - Have/would you let someone else be blamed for something you did? Or dare - Do your best to do or say something that could break up one couple in the room.â Looking up at her, he pursed his lips, unsure of what to pick. âYou wanna go for it, or?â
She tried to flash a smile, but it faltered quickly. At least this round was with someone sheâd had an actual conversation with at some point. Alden listened quietly as he read the text. âI donât think I could ever break someone up so I guess that leaves me with truth, huh?â Her fingers linked together in front of her. âI, uh, I have let someone take the blame for something I did. It wasnât my idea but...I...I didnât stand up and say anything so...I kind of just let it happen. It was in elementary school...â The girl was unsure if she needed to elaborate, but she would rather be safe than sorry. âOur class had a pet guinea pig and I was playing with him one day after school while waiting for my nanny to pick me up. I donât think I latched his cage properly and he ended up getting out. My friends, uh, they had this vendetta against this other girl in our class so when Mr. Butler asked who had been the last at the guinea pig cage...they pointed out that Sophie was the one responsible to feed him the day before so everyone thought it was her.â Her lips pursed. âI realize that might not be such a big deal now or anything, but I still think about it sometime. Everyone hated her for months.â Shaking her head, Alden sighed. âWhat about you? Truth or dare?â
