Got canceled in hiring for a Project Manager role at a Malaysian game company 💔

This pandemic bored me to death

I was sick of staying at home for months

I couldn’t stand doing all the same shits every day

I just wanted to go and experience new things

 Then, there was India

I was intrigued from the beginning

It was far from the comforts that I used to feel

India showed me a new perspective

It had the challenges and thrills that I seek for long

I was blinded by the bright and flashing colors it offered

I craved for staying there

Had dreamt of living in an exotic place like it

I was hooked

So, I decided to leave my home for India

India was so sweet, yet so bitter

It was so poor, yet so rich

I went too fast, yet I went nowhere

I was so high, yet I felt so low

 It was not long to be in India

My friends didn’t like it when I was there

India was not my home

It was just part of my journey

Good bye, India

It’s time to go

Matahari menjelang terbit, namun rasa kantukku belum kunjung datang. Mungkin terlalu banyak pikiran dan kecemasan di dalam otakku. Ataukah ini akibat munculnya kembali kamu? Bukan, bukan di kehidupanku lagi, hanya di mimpi-mimpiku, imajinasiku, di pikiranku. Bayangan tentangmu terkadang mengusikku; gambaran masa lalu serta segala impian dan harapan tentangmu yang tentunya sudah aku kubur. Yah, mungkin ini hanya rindu, yang tidak bisa aku ungkapkan seenaknya kepadamu. Biarlah rasa rindu ini kusimpan sendiri. 

Terkadang, pada waktu rentan seperti ini, orang melakukan hal yang seharusnya tidak dilakukan. Kuakui memang rindu ini menyesakkan kalau tidak diluapkan. Biar kuluapkan dengan mengenang kembali tentangmu saja. Jemariku iseng bermain di atas layar ponsel. Kutelurusi pesan-pesan lama antara kita. Secara tak sengaja aku pun tersenyum, walau tak dapat kutahan juga sebutir-dua butir air mata turut menetes, jatuh ke sarung bantalku. Kubiarkan malam ini menjadi malam yang panjang untukku mengingat-ingat tentangmu. Suatu hari aku pun akan melupakanmu seperti kamu melupakanku. 

Kututup jendela sosial media tempat kita biasa bertukar pesan. Luapan perasaan emosional ini sungguh mengganggu. Ini bukan hanya tentangmu. Ini juga tentangku. Aku yang sentimental, aku yang terlanjur menciptakan angan-angan bersamamu, aku yang tidak mudah melupakan hal-hal yang berarti bagiku walaupun kecil sekalipun. 

Aku yakin, kenal denganmu merupakan suatu kebaikan untukku. Suatu hari nanti, aku ingin melihatmu dengan versi terbaikmu. Begitu juga sebaliknya. Marilah kita nikmati proses ini bersama-sama.

Something About Her (Part II)

Her eyes were swollen. The light in her eyes was gone, leaving those wistful reddened and puffy eyes on her gloomy face. She thought that those depressing moments have gone since some years ago. But, no. Deep down in her heart, she knew they’d come back.

As he came back into her life, there also came her anxieties and worries. She wouldn’t let him slipped out again. She tried to make it right. Yet on the other side, she was keeping her heart from being broken. Again.

All those heavenly moments went by so fast. They certainly weren’t like the first time, more beautiful, yet more painful. She tried to fix things up. He gave up. All that has happened became useless. She gave her world, he gave his words. In the end, he left again, and she cried again.

Now, in the midst of all the desperation, she’s pulling herself together. She’s finding other sources of happiness, moreover, finding her true self. She realizes that he’s no longer around, and she needs to let go of what has gone by. Although she can’t do what he told her to do, she still thanks him. Although she lost him, she can finally find herself.

Something About Her (part 1)

Let me tell something about her. This ordinary young woman, approaching her quarter life, lives in a big town on her own. She is accustomed to living independently. She has a good job that makes her passionate in doing her work, she loves her bosses (and her bosses seem love her, too!), she has nice parents and family who always supports her, she has some helpful friends through her thick and thin... They might think she’s got it all. She used to think the same way, too.

Until one day, something happened to her. There was one thing could turn her life upside down. She always thought she could live happily and much less worried without a guy got into her life. But, only God knows how to flip through human’s heart. She fell in love.

Someone: ....how do you know about it?

Me: I just remember. You've ever told me once.

Someone: you have a pretty good memory, I guess

Me: well, I don't know if it's more of a blessing or a curse.

One day, i was talking with a guy from my team at work. I was blabbering about something randomly, till he suddenly said, "You seem to get stressed easily. You always think too much about something you shouldn't think about." Me: (stabbed right in the chest) "....is that so?"
